Westerners will not agree..

They are the most reason for the wrong things we face here..
We are a sovereign nation, stop bringing westerners into this, buttress your point...I think if there is federal government will and NNPCL cooperating with Dangote rather than competing with it, will help prices reduce for Nigerians and force importers out of the market.

Stop using style to remind us that ebilokan is a cluelessly corrupt man who is incapable of doing anything he says.

Two years after hitting the ground running, the korofo chochocho balablu wailer has failed to crash petrol price below what it cost us in January 2023!

Gibberish, quote me with sense and objectivity.

The people still importing petrol are the corrupt petroleum dealers who insist they must import in other to bring back subsidy. With local production and self sufficiency, subsidy is buried for over. Thats what they don’t want.
Federal government, Dangote and NNPCL can force them out of the market by utilising government policy and capacity to ensure NNPCL prices to Nigerians are below international market rates, so the importers will have no incentive to engage in the business.

Supreme court erred. Self defence is a natural and world recognised rights, self preservation is a natural law, based off reactions...and nations ensure to represent this in the criminal laws of their country, so they are not encouraging terrorists and violent criminals.

If the herdsman attacked him with a deadly force or weapon, so he too should be able to react same way, to save his life...I think it is proportionate.

In America, self defence laws apply absolutely, in all cases where it was proved that, there was reason for the victim to apply a reasonable amount of force or use gadget at disposal to neutralise the threat.

We must be careful, such rulings encourage terrorists, bandits and kidnappers, so they can attack and expect to not get harmed. This is a shame, if we directly or indirectly, consciously or unconsciously the bad guys, their evil will continue, especially in a country like Nigeria where the population is blowing up with no attendant Jobs or investment and social structures to encourage skill transfer and training, empowerment, entrepreneurism but they rather derail the youths through dogmas, all for political reasons, riches and clout..if deterrence is not strong against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and armed robbers, we will be setting ourselves for disaster.

National assembly and senate must enact laws that empower Nigerians and give them the rights to preserve their lives and that of those around them, using any means necessary. These evil people are public enemy, the judiciary should be leading the fight against them, not encouraging them.

We give undue importance to nonsense, in a sane country he will be tried by the anti graft agency, Nigeria politics is a joke, just money and gragra politics, no ideology no intelligence.

Capitalist must make massive profits. They always price things on high they feel people can pay. It's one thing killing us in Nigeria. Western countries were already developing nicely before capitalism took over. We started our country straight into the jaws of capitalism and we know how some of our folks love money.
They are greedy, Dangote became the richest man in Africa due to Nigerian market.

That's a fair point, and I respect your take. But this post isn't about my father or any one person's experience—it's about questioning whether the current structure of marriage still serves men in a healthy and balanced way.

Many men today feel trapped between cultural expectations and personal reality. The goal here isn’t to dismiss marriage, but to open a real conversation about how it can evolve to serve both partners better.

Let’s hear more perspectives—has marriage been a blessing or burden for the men you know?
Intelligent talk.

Those countries don't have crude oil, and don't give incentives to Oil producers like Nigeria gave you Dangote. Don't be greedy, since this oil facility came into stream, you bounced back to richest man position.

Tinubu NNPCL and Dangote should work together to end importation of fuel by being able to sell fuel very cheap for Nigerians, use capacity.

Federal government of Nigeria must show strength, mobilise large numbers of our forces to borders of Chad and Niger republic, close the borders and demand the nations take actions on terrorists and bandits hibernating and crisscrossing from their territories into Nigeria. They take Nigeria as a cash cow, most of their top people know who these terrorists are, they give them space to hide in Chad and Benin republic.

We should shut down the borders and cut off all ties, and demand Nigerian forces is given access to enter and flush out those terrorists, in collaboration with local forces.

We must show our regional strength and protect Nigeria.

Your are the one who need to use your head, price of a product only becomes cheaper when the currency appreciates which is not possible with people like you keep ing Tinubu who promised currency devaluation during his electoral campaign.
You seem delusional, this post is about petroleum products, and competition drives prices. As a consumer I am happy with lower prices and am sure that is what all Nigerians want.

I will advise you to keep yourself busy, bringing up Tinubu on this thread is insanity.

I already did, along with my entire family. I'm never going to live permanently in Nigeria or even Black Africa ever again UNLESS there's major reforms that further entrench the four factors that are PROVEN to generate high HDI and socio-political stability - free markets, democracy, property rights and demographic homogeneity.

Everything I've written is factual. I welcome any info to the contrary, I'm always open to new and credible knowledge.

Good Luck to Nigeria.
Good, why come to nairaland?

Go europialand with your slave mentality.

You're in the grip of Afro-Supremacist delusions. I used to think like you when I was young, in my 20's and 30's, so I would like to know your age. Because no reasonable person who has lived over 40 years and thought about our world and maybe had some varied experiences can deny my claim.

Botswana is run by the UK and the USA, that's fact. I've met and talked at length to people who work for the US government in Botswana. The USA has a permanent force there training their military...or maybe supervising is the correct word, call it whatever you want. Most ordinary people in Botswana don't have very high living standards, just somewhat better than other Black Africans and more importantly, they have socio-political stability. The 3% White population is similar to Zimbabwe before Land Reform. That's telling, no?

Botswana is about 80% Twana or Pula or whatever that tribe is called. Ethnic homogeneity is one of the basic contributors to national development. One of their Presidents who was a royal prince of the pre-colonial kingdom took firm steps to turn themselves into a half-white family, go look into their family history. They basically made their country into a permanent British dependency. All that other stuff you put up is secondary.

Nigeria is the largest and most diverse collection of Negroes gathered in one country. Once you know that, you know everything that follows.

Nigeria also has 4 refineries. Don't forget that. undecided

Good Luck to Nigeria.
You can leave and denounce the country if you wish.

While not go into petrol business and bring down price than deceiving with competition while we continue to borrow crude collateralized dollar loans to import and subsidize substandard petrol from Europe
Are you a petroleum dealer, producer or ?

If you are a , your concern should be cheap prices, and yes Nigerians deserves lower prices because we produce crude. Let the hot competition continue and prices lower.

Use your head, fight for your interest not interest of billionaire marketers and oil producers, they can bring down the price further, greed is not good.

I like that the Air Force is talking tough, but they should also be professional enough when striking the terrorists so count innocent villagers among them
Advice the villagers who supply terrorists food, water, women, to stay apart from the terrorists, they should stop conniving with terrorists.

Conniving with terrorists is terrorism, we all need to Nigerian air force to go all out...some of you are clueless or saboteurs.

Obidients subsidy is not bad if well managed and if the nation can afford it, subsidy is in degrees, so nothing wrong if government subsidise for the people, or are obidients saying Nigerians don't deserve any subsidy at all?

Obidients really are weak mentally.

You must have barriers, especially in the Sahel axis, make it inaccessible... sometimes building a canal across sections also serve as a barrier.

I building a wall, human lives are valuable, it's better we spend our money building a wall and protecting our nation from wanton infiltration by terrorists than have political office holders stealing the funds.
