There is a place called Life Camp in Abuja and there is a frozen food market there called Fish market, the people staying there enjoy up to 21 hours of power supply daily. Now the villages over there like Life Camp village and part of Karimo do enjoy the same power supply with the main Life Camp.
Also when you go to Airport road Abuja, some of the villages in Lugbe do enjoy airport light. Meanwhile, these villages hardly pay for these constant power supply. That was why I mentioned that the prepared metered customers will be at the receiving end of this hike in electricity tariff of Band A customers while the estimated billing postpaid costumers will just be flexing with the light.
Pls note that some of the staff of these electricity power companies are not trust worthy allegedly.

Even the bible says when the sinners is being punished the innocents sef dey sufferth,
No doubt there might be such cases, but trust me the percentage is very small n insignificant.
For instance, there is an estate in my Area exclusive for the Rich, they applied for Band B that guarantees 16hrs light and they also make it exclusive to that estate alone cheesy our eye dey see light but e no reach us.

Do you know, no matter the amount Nepa reduce tariff to there are people that won't still be able to afford it but the % will be small & insignificant thats what matters
No policy can favour ALL, since the news broke out most of us vexing & reacting are on Banky W undecided

I see... perfectly understandable.

This doesn't affect every Nigerian, only those who are using Band A and thus, have uninterrupted power supply. Good one.

So you believe this? Every connected houses will taste this pills, this is for sure.
That electricity distribution company handling your area is another government on its own.
Body go tell all of us, as we no wan reject all these oppressions thrown at us.

Frankly speaking, government should go further and allow the companies charge what they want. This was what revolutionized the the telecoms industry and the same would occur in the power sector as well.

Don't compare electricity business with telecom, it doesn't work like that.
You can not transmit electricity wirelessly.

Disco isn't serious .. I don't think the increments will solve their problems.. the truth is they made much money but aren't ready to maintain their available facilities .. Let's see how this will go and hear their next complaint

It’s time to remove Tinubu
He seems to lack human feeling
That’s what happens when you are ruled by love for money you can’t spend

ALL SUBSIDIES IN NIGERIA SHOULD BE SCRAPPED!!!! All the government owned enterprises must be privatized, all prices must be deregulated.

TCN, NIPOST, sports stadiums, refineries, Federal Mortgage Bank, ALL the federal universities and federal hospitals, all the 37 Water Boards, all the government Sports bodies, NTA and FRCN, Ajaokuta and Delta Steel and soooo many others....sell them all or SHUT THEM DOWN immediately.

Even CBN should be abolished and naira replaced with either bitcoin...or MAYBE the US dollar.

Open the borders to import and export of ALL legal goods and services with no tariffs or any other hindrance.

Reduce taxes drastically!!! Abolish as many taxes as possible!

And no palliatives will be given to anyone for anything. Yes there will be suffering but it will be temporary.

JUST DO IT !!!! And watch Nigeria become the richest country in Africa within a decade. Go check out what happened to Ireland when they liberalized their economy.

Freedom now!

Good Luck to Nigeria!

The key issue isn't competition but investment. Billions of dollars are needed to increase energy output and upgrade creaky infrastructure. They would best respond with a deregulated price.

There's has been some liberalization in the power sector that will bring in smaller and nimble players. For instance, you no longer need government permit if you plan to generate 1MW or less of electricity for instance.

However, the big players are still needed.

Most homes use 2KWh, that is about #450 every hour.

To enjoy 24 hours, you'll have to cough out #10,800 daily and over 320k monthly.

Yorubas have killed this country with gross incompetence.

This only affects band A customers who can pay because it is still cheaper than running generators. Majority of the masses are not affected. What should be done is holding these discos to so they can deliver more power to homes and businesses.

Oya, buy electricity token and tell us if you are affected. Stop lying to defend rubbish

discos have alway being calamitous, insensitive and inefficient since like forever

what ever is happening now got nothing to do with Tinubu, besides the Band A is not even for the common man so i lets not cry more than the bereaved

Buy electricity token first before saying it's only for band A consumers
