Boss.. you have a good point about discipline in trading, and it's definitely a huge factor!
It's true that prop firms can be great for building that consistent routine and sticking to a trading plan because of their strict rules and guidelines.
However, I also think that the ultimate goal for many traders is to build enough capital to trade independently.
While prop firms offer a structured environment, some others (like me) might argue that the best way to cultivate true discipline is by managing your own risk and capital from the start (either on a cent, or standard ).
Plus, imagine the freedom of having full control over your profits without having to meet specific targets or abide by a firm's drawdown limits.
What are your thoughts @Slimtuns on how a trader can effectively build that same level of discipline, or even sur it, when managing their own personal trading ?

JAMB: Again, Mmesoma Breaks UTME Record In Anambra
Another Nmemsoma, but now Obiora-Nwokedi Nmesoma, a student of Queens Convent Awka in Anambra State, has set a new academic record in her school by scoring 343 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) resit.
The Anglican Church-owned institution celebrated the exceptional achievement, especially after Nmesoma’s earlier score of 165 in the controversial initial exam, which the t ission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) blamed on technical glitches.
The initial incident left many students distraught, with reports of psychological distress and even a tragic suicide. However, Nmesoma refused to be defined by the flawed system. Encouraged by her teachers and school community, she sat for the rescheduled exam and delivered an extraordinary performance.
Speaking with our correspondent, the school's principal, Dr. Martha Ibezim, credited the feat to the school’s commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and a rigorous learning environment. She praised the dedication of the faculty and the school’s investment in quality education.
“Nmesoma’s resilience and brilliance have not only secured her a promising future but have also brought immense pride to Queens Convent,” Dr. Ibezim stated. “Her story is a powerful reminder of perseverance and the importance of systems in education.”
"Nmesoma is a star pupil. Her determination, combined with the she received from our faculty, helped her overcome a disheartening setback,” Ibezim stated.
Nmesoma’s achievement stands as a beacon of hope and determination, showing how students can overcome setbacks and thrive when given a second chance and the right environment. Her success reinforces Queens Convent Awka’s standing as a hub for academic and personal excellence.

Yeah 👍. Big trade profit is rare. But small trades with frequent profits in accumulation is the real deal.
I learned this the hard way.
Yesterday I was expecting a long bullish continuation on the 4hr TF (on xauusd) and left my trade in profit hoping to reap some $500 Today. But I woke up this morning to see that my SL 🛑 has been hit.😭😭😭
If I had scalped, those little profit would have been added to my equity by now.
Gold thought me a huge lesson 🙄💯
___ Abeg make I soak small "G4" tey cool my brain 😴🧠🔥
(U can me anyway)
..
But it's those big profit trades that makes the difference at the end of the day. Right or wrong?

Without obi, bat would have won on a massive level because of the belief that it's south turn to produce the president.
Obi emergence reduced bat vote,.not atiku's

That's very obvious.
Presence of Peter obi helped tinubu to win in presidential elections.
Why do you all keep saying this.
You forget in a hurry that it's the turn of the south to produce the president.
Only pdp voted for atiku, Apc voted for Tinubu. The masses voted for obi.

The politics is what it is, sentiments cannot replace the realities of the sociopolitical dynamics in nigeria.
There are only 2 options, obi either works with the north or bat continues.
He's free to work with the north and other regions, but he should not VP anybody, we all know VP is just a spare tire.
He can't achieve the "consumption to production plan"as a VP

At the stage Nigeria is, it does not matter. Sacrifices must be made.
Bat is banking on the egos of obi and atiku to take the day.
And u expect obi to vp for atiku.
Tell me the politician that's doing what obi is currently doing? He's building bridges across tribe and religion, offering and constructively addressing the issues, that's what opposition should be doing, not chilling somewhere in Dubai

Shops should not have been closed indiscriminately. NAFDAC found adulterated, counterfeit, and expired drugs in a handful of shops, yet it unjustly punished 95% of innocent businesses for the actions of just 5%. This sets a dangerous precedent that must be condemned.
Obi spoke against this, u all abused him

Obi needs to understand that to put Nigeria on the track of 'working', the present disaster at the centre must be voted out.
So, if Obi truly has the interests of Nigerians at heart, he needs to hands with Atiku and others in the opposition so as to present a formidable force to remove bat.
Anything less will be an exercise in futility.
But obi must be the president, not VP.
He must reject any coalition where he'll be a VP, because they simply want to ride on his popularity and organic to power
