olaolaking: At least before you come boldly to lecture people on Biblical doctrines, study diligently first. There are two kinds of tongues. One, of men, and the second, of angels. As far back as the Old Testament, the second tongue which is prevalent today was known to GOD'S messenger. Read these verses below and learn so you stop misleading others. 1 Corinthians 13:1 KJV Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. Daniel 5:5,7-9,24-28 KJV In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. [7] The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom. [8] Then came in all the king's wise men : but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof. [9] Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied. [24] Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written. [25] And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. [26] This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE ; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. [27] TEKEL ; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. [28] PERES ; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. 2 Likes |

Danisaint112: You don't build a doctrine in the Christian Faith on common sense, you build it on the Word of GOD. And not just what a particular age of the Bible says, but on the whole counsel of GOD as distilled from all other ages of the Bible speaking about the same same issue or subject. Then you can get a clear understanding and revelations through the HOLY SPIRIT about the whole mind of GOD over the subject matter. When you build your doctrine without considering all available ages talking about the subject matter in the Bible you definitely always end preaching and teaching heresy. It's not always that people around understand what is spoken as tongues. Check the Scriptures below and understand the heresy of your submissions. 1 Corinthians 14:2, 13-14, 16-18 KJV [2] For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. [13] Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. [14] For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. [16] Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? [17] For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified. [18] I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: https://bible.com/bible/1/1co.14.2-18.K1 Corinthians 14:2, 13-14, 16-18 KJV [2] For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. Read the Bible ages below and know that he himself is toying with sin by imposing himself as self'-appointed Judge over others. Romans 14:4, 10-13 NLT [4] Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval. [10] So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? , we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. [11] For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” [12] Yes, each of us will give a personal to God. [13] So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. https://bible.com/bible/116/rom.14.4-13.NLT 8 Likes 3 Shares |

jayAjoku:It ain't human at all! Language experts have confirmed this since it does not fit the pattern of any language that has ever existed among humans, at any point in time. ![]() You as a human know that you don't need to first hear all human languages that have ever existed on this planet to realize how some ideas do not just fit in with your brains understanding of what a language should be. Repeating the same nonsensical syllables does not amount to a human language. Even baby language is more developed than that nonsense your pastors spew at you lot on a daily basis. ![]() |

jayAjoku: But at least someone there should be able to recognize it just as God made it obvious on the day of the pentecost. It's not just that, It's also the constant repeatation of the word or a particular word. If you can discern you will know immediately. Why would you be repeating shabahbahbah after every one two words spoken? ![]() You can also go to Google and check, there is no known language with the word shabahbahbah. It's only used by African clearly men to truly appear spiritual. ![]() |

Jhoneyman:Yet every one of your many doctrines directly defy this Word of God and this whole counsel of this God which you all pretend to follow? How come? ![]() 2. For instance, this God you lor pretend to follow warns that all doctrines and traditions of men are an abomination to Him. He insists that all those who follow these doctrines and traditions of men have nothing to do with Him. So, how can you claim your doctrines and church traditions are built on the word and whole counsel of this same God whom your every move defies? ![]() |

You people should study Bible small now. There are tongue of men and there are tongue of angels. Tongue of men can be recognized by men in their dialect e.g I learned of a German that came to Ilesha in 30s and finding it difficult to communicate then switch to tongue - lo and behold he was speaking in Ijesha language. Tongue of Angels even devil is confused because you communicate directly to God through the help of holy spirit. 1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. mastermaestro: In the book of 1 Corinthians, Apostle Paul was referring to a scenario. He was only trying to paint a scenario to tell how weighty love can be. He didn't say he did it and there was never any record of his activities or any of the apostles or disciples that spoke a language that no human understands. The major reason why the anointing made the disciples spoke in tongues was for the purpose of spreading the good news so that language won't be a barrier. With this they can speak and preach to others around who didn't understand jew. What happened in Daniel wasn't a language and it wasn't speaking in tongues. It was a code that need an expert (this time Daniel) to decode. It was written not by human just like more or less a programming language. It wasn't for public consumption. 1 Like |

Danisaint112: Pls be careful o 1 Corinthians 14:2 "For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit." If those ones were not there to confirm it’s their language, everyone would have thought they were speaking gibberish too. Pls read your Bible very well and be careful when speaking about pastors ✌️ |

[quote author=ArclordZerro post=135586610]This is the truth. Common sense. I think the problem with Nigerian believers esp. is that they don't read to understand the full chapter. Just pick a verse and make a note of it and they're fine. That's the reason why lots of people don't get this point till today. My two cents.

jayAjoku:Did experts need knowledge of all humans that ever existed before they could successfully map the human Genome? 🙄🙄🙄 2. Complexities involved in human languages? Are you sure you are OK? 🙄🙄🙄 3. Look at this one! Baby language, for example, has not really evolved much since the very first babies born on this planet. The average baby rarely spends its first days around other babies, and so we couldn't say that babies have learned much from each other over time. Yet baby language has a more intricate pattern than the shalabalabaloo syllables your pastors spew at you lot. 😂😂😂😂😂 |

olaolaking: Most of the tongues spoken is directed to God and it's for EDIFICATION and not for interpretation. Well all these controversies is because such tongues is for individual prayer closets or to be prayed silently in public. 3 Likes |

Danisaint112: You hang this on Pastors yet failed to recognize what you quoted. Look at the @color-red above, did you notice that part? So, it's what The Spirit wanted at that time that He inspired them to do not your own. Apostle Paul explained further that there are different kinds of tongues and people can speak a language that no one on earth will understand as the person wasn't communicating to human but to God. So when you hear your pastor saying shabahbahbah! just know it's lies. 99.9% of the time they are trying to fool you. because you're the Spirit who inspired the language that's why you know it's a lie. If no one around there can understand what they are saying or have ever testified to understand what they are saying, then it's a lie. The are simply faking it. You're calling God a liar then, because God's word says people around might not understand the language. I'm not a deeper life or Jehovah witness member but I know this. It's just common sense. Even the OP who is a Deeper Life member misrepresented that video as that video wasn't challenging the PASTORS (as claimed in the Title) watch the video very well. All the answers you need is in the Bible, let no man fool you. I come in peace. It's evident you don't read Bible, if not you should have known where people can speak in tongues and no one will understand what they were speaking was written. 3 Likes |

olaolaking: OK. I'll bite. I'll give you a scripture. If you care to know, read. If you don't, don't. SPEAKING IN TONGUES DOES NOT MEAN SPEAKING A KNOWN HUMAN LANGUAGE. What happened in the book of Acts is not how you guys erroneously read it. The apostles spoke in unknown tongues, but God opened the understanding of the people who heard them and they could understand the apostles in their very own language. You can see proof of this from the bible verses below. This still happens today. You can ask questions or bring up objections and let's talk about them. 1 Corinthians 14:2 2) For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:23 23) So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? 1 Corinthians 14:27-28 27) If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28) If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God. 1 Corinthians 14:6-17 6 Now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction? 7 Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? 8 Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? 9 So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. 10 Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning. 11 If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me. 12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church. 13 For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say. 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. 16 Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can someone else, who is now put in the position of an inquirer, say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since they do not know what you are saying? 17 You are giving thanks well enough, but no one else is edified. 3 Likes |

Themanleshey:Interesting claim, yet the book of Acts records that on the day of Pentecost, the words that were spoken by the Apostles were heard and understood by the people— gentile Israelites — who were in Jerusalem at the time. ![]() 2. Not necessarily the case at all, since when I hear people — I live in a big city with lots of foreigners around— around me speaking, I don't think instinctively think they are speaking gibberish unless what they are saying sounds like gibberish. Instead, I hope they are not cursing at me at least. Speaking gibberish is clearly different from speaking a language. ![]() |
