Almost all Nigerian pastors are like that i dont take them serioulsy, and they like forming prophet and propehtess ![]() ![]() So fake, either they went to babalawo or mamalawo and very business minded ![]() ![]() ![]() I dont like how they pray so disorganized, speaking in tongues and no interpretations, just to show they are powerful. So vain They will lay hands on somebody and be pushing the person, is it not the power of God that will make me fall. ![]() And they love their money, the tithes, when we are not following old testament tithe regulation. And they have to stop disgracing themselves. Epecially the Nigerian fake prophetess and prophets online, i am disgusted by how they pray, and shout calling for wealth and always about enemies. I will rather read the bible and have peace than listen to what they say. ![]() ![]() Ayobeck: 1 Like |

While I understand Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s dismay over the viral clip and the resulting speculation, I believe the situation could have been more effectively deescalated with a more transparent clarification. In his address from the pulpit, he strongly denied carrying a firearm and that’s very important. However, the fact that he chose not to disclose what exactly he was holding leaves room for ongoing speculation. In an age where perception often becomes reality, especially with viral content, silence on specific details tends to invite further scrutiny. If it was a Taser or any legally permissible item, saying so would not only have quelled doubts but also demonstrated a commitment to openness. It's not just about refuting a rumor; it's about replacing ambiguity with clarity. That’s especially crucial for public figures, particularly faith leaders whose actions are often under a microscope. I do agree with him that many bloggers capitalize on controversy, often at the expense of truth and context. But that’s all the more reason why transparency is the best defense. His assertion that the church is under undue attack will remain debatable but in such moments, precision in response becomes even more essential, not just for damage control, but for modeling integrity and leadership. So yes, he made a strong case, but it would have been far more compelling had he simply said what it was.

These god of men won't stop to amazed me. Double standard people... still using bible to decieve his gullibiles. Why not just be transparent and be truthful as the master, Jesus, they preached. They named Jesus as their role model but do opposite what he taught and lived for when he was on the earth. African christains worst off!

The accusation is so baseless. I still reel at the fact some kids of these days have the gutso to introduce theirselves as "content creators". They mostly feed on controversies (true or not) like predators. Is professional journalism getting extincted by smartphone savvy mediocres? Free the MOG abegi. Bad belle no go make your own better! 4 Likes |

A firearm is a lethal barrelled weapon. Taser or pepper spray are both firearms and private citizens are not permitted to carry both categories. Defenders of Mr Pastor stop defending the indefensible. Pastor was caught lacking and had no right to be in possession of a concealed firearm. He had security detail at the time and the photographer was not a threat.

cyberbro: In addition, apart from not harming anybody, he's a private citizen, not living off taxpayers' money. Nigerians should stop meddling in people's private lives, our busybody attitude is becoming a global disgrace. He owes no more explanation beyond what he has said already. Nigerians should get busier with their lives and hold their thieving politicians more able for their frustrations. 1 Like 1 Share |

Glister:Nigerian Firearms law doesn't grant permits for pistols and revolvers for civilians no matter who you are that's why VIPs prefer to use Police escorts because the process of obtaining firearms license is rigorous and cumbersome. Those qualified for permits can only be granted permits for Shotguns and Daneguns. Even when the license has been granted to an applicant, the NPF Force Ops Department is the only authorised place to legally purchase firearms and ammunition in Nigeria. When it's discovered that you purchased arms and ammunitions elsewhere, the license could be revoked or even land the holder in serious trouble. Being in possession of Pistol in Nigeria is illegal whether you are using it or not. 1 Like |
