We have been hearing for years that Wike fought to make Amaechi Governor while Amaechi ran to Ghana.

And some of us have been asking;; how exactly did Wike make Amaechi Governor?

Is it that Odili, the sitting Governor at the time was against Amaechi coming back and Wike had to fight Odili?

Or is it that Wike was among the Supreme Court that said that the ticket belonged to the party and that Amaechi must be reinstated?

Because these two suggestions above are the only tangible things I could think of.

Wike was going for the case in court..

Wike did not make Amaechi Governor. His only contribution was in following with court cases and reporting to Amaechi. He was just an errand boy.

He was not part of the legal luminaries that handled the case and he was not part of the judges that ruled the case. People like twisting history. When Obasanjo for reasons best known to him refused to hand the PDP flag to Amaechi, OBJ demanded that Odili should bring a replacement to Amaechi; the same scenario was been played out in Imo State then. When it was very clear that OBJ has rejected Amaechi, rumour had it then that Odili asked Amaechi to give a replacement, where Amaechi recommended Omehia his cousin.

According to Amaechi, he said that Odili told him to seek redress in the court if he felt that he has been short changed. This is the reason that Amaechi said that Odili made him governor. It was Odili that convinced him to go to court and reclaim his mandate. Maybe, Odili's wife who was a judge then might have suggested to her husband about that. Amaechi went to court at the insistence of Odili.

Wike and Abe came into the scene and worked hard for it because they know that they will not benefit from Omehia's istration the way they will benefit from Amaechi. Why is Abe not shouting like Wike that he made Amaechi governor? Did he not play vital role like Wike? Wike did errand boy work.

You will also that after Supreme court nullified the election of Imo State and declared that fresh election be conducted using Ararume as the governorship candidate and because OBJ rejected Ararume, OBJ frustrated Arurume that made PPA to win governorship election in Imo State. Because of what transpired in Imo State, Supreme court ruled in the case of Amaechi that he should assume the governor of Rivers State. Omehia was removed and Amaechi was declared the governor. The only person in Nigeria that has become the governor without contesting governorship election.

When Amaechi said that God, Peter Odili and judiciary made him governor he was right. So, where did Wike come in except to be in court to witness the case and run errands for Amaechi? What of Abe? What of other people that were involved? Nobody will make light Wike's contribution to Amaechi becoming governor but saying he made Amaechi governor, he is the greatest liar.

What if Odili has not suggested that Amaechi should go to court? Did the suggestion come from Wike? What if the lawyers did not articulate their case very well, was Wike among them? What if the judiciary has ruled as they ruled in Imo State and OBJ manipulates the system and remove Amaechi, as PDP declared that they do not have candidate in Imo State reelection? We are not deceived, we were also on ground when these things happened. We also know the truth. If Wike has failed to do the errand work, Abe and others would have done that.

Anyway Amaechi himself said it that Nyesom Wike made him governor before Ogbakor Ikwerre and the naration in Port Harcourt then proved it was true .

Those in Port Harcourt then can attest that Wike did the working for Amaechi through the supreme court , even Celestine also know this .

Amaechi has already ran to Ghana while Wike was in Nigeria fighting for him in supreme court , it was after the supreme Court ruling that Amaechi returned to Nigeria. Is supreme Court of Nigeria situated in Ghana ? Oga we know the Truth , go and sleep because you have more battles ahead of you without Wike's .

I will tell you what played out.
Odili wanted to make Amaechi governor but his wife preferred another person other than Amaechi. I think this was as a result of seething rivalry between Odilis wife and Amaechi's wife. Amaechi's wife is said to be a former house help of Odilis wife. The usual jealousy between women made Odilis wife to prefer another person.
There was another angle of Obasanjo preferring Senator Martins Yellow. All these led to a cook up charge against Amaechi and thereby setting the EFCC against him. Odili had vowed to handover to an Ikwerre man and outside that wouldn't want to hand over to a Kalabari man. The murder of Marshall Harry was still unresolved. While all these were ongoing Amaechi had secured PDP gubernatorial ticket. However on the day of flag presentation Obasanjo came up with the historic K-Leg saga. The flag wasn't handed over to Amaechi for reasons beknown only to Obasanjo. Odili was distressed and wanted away out of this. The opportunity came when Obasanjo travelled and Ahmadu Ali the then PDP chairman got backdated form for Omehia. EFCC was still on the trail of Amaechi and he had to escape to Ghana. Omehia contested and won the governorship election.
At this point Wike and Magnus Abe came together to get supreme court interpretation of who was PDP candidate in the said election.
Omehia and his foot soldiers did everything to bribe Wike. They wanted Wike to drop the case for financial gains. Wike refused and followed the case to the end where the supreme court declared Amaechi to be the authentic PDP candidate.
If Amaechi denies this he shouldn't be trusted for anything. Amarachi Wasn't loved by River people at this time. In short anything associated with PDP was generally scorned at. The people believed PDP rugged all their elections. To be very frank many people in Rivers State will tell you that Amaechi has never won any free and fair election in Rivers State.
To be in the house assembly he ed through the court declaration against the authentic winner of the ticket. Ask anyone from Ikwerre LGA. His second term ticket was when the Carry Go syndrome started in Rivers State. His first term as a governor Omehia contested on his behalf. His second term results were written by Wike and his goons. Omehia was the preferred candidate in 2011. The mass rigging perpetrated them returned Amaechi as the governor.
