airmark: There’s definitely valid frustration over Chelsea’s transfer decisions in recent windows. While the idea of long-term squad building is commendable, poor spending and misjudged gs have created a situation where the club is now scrambling to offload deadweight instead of reinforcing key areas. The g of players like Veiga and Felix, only for them to be loaned out, raises serious questions about planning and squad management. Likewise, investing in washed or unfit players instead of directly addressing the club’s most pressing needs—like a top-quality striker, which has been missing for over a season—is baffling. Instead of spending wisely to fill weaknesses, money has been thrown at experiments that haven’t yielded results. Of course, mistakes in transfers are not exclusive to Chelsea. Even a well-structured club like Manchester City has had unclever spending, with Jack Grealish and Doku failing to live up to expectations. No club gets every transfer perfect, but the real issue is whether lessons are learned and adjustments are made in future windows. For Chelsea, it’s time to shift from reckless spending to precise investments. The club must prioritize strategy over impulse, ensuring that every g aligns with the squad’s actual needs rather than just taking unnecessary risks. Hopefully, the errors of past windows serve as a wake-up call, pushing the club toward smarter decisions moving forward. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Our first team this epl season was sanchez, gusto, tosin, colwill, cucurella, caicedo, enzo, madueke, palmer, sancho, jackson. And our aim should be to improve this eleven, sanchez improved this year and jorgenson did well, but glad to be having petrovic and penders as options this summer. a fit James replaces out of form gusto. if sancho leaves, we need a new lw or hope estevao and paez star there. the biggest issue upfront was getting a top 9 that could replace Jackson, but we got delap a slightly better version of what we have. Petrovic, James, tosin, colwill, cucurella, caicedo, enzo, estevao, palmer, new lw/neto, delap Another season to fight for top four again, there's no lw in the market now that can give me that osimhen/gyorekes vibe or salah impact |

Whizlight:then they didn't watch him, apart from his rumored attitude, he was a good striker. I those who wrote off omorodian, I as well because we were expecting osimhen |

nateevs(m): 7:20pm On May 30 |
airmark: They found clever ways of spending. They literally invented the 8-year contract strategy..... allowing the club to spend more on players, showing amortisation, without breaking the bank in any particular season. In fact, it was so clever, UEFA came after it. Did they make stupid decisions along the way, absolutely! .....Thaat comes with the strategy they are employing. For every bum we have purchased, this strategy has also brought us the likes of Palmer, Caicedo, Enzo, Lavia, Santos, and looking at bright prospects from the likes of Estevao, Paez, Essugo, Guiu, Delap, Quenda. Let's be fair, none of these players will get a sniff during our previous ownership. We just wouldn't be in the market for them. I should mention, this is not a debate about which strategy works better. It's just a statement to remind us all that ownership has changed, and so has direction. The earlier we accept it, the less frustrated we will be. 5 Likes |

Enzo5: There's a general dearth of reasonably-priced quality in the market. That said, I will still look at one of Rodrygo, Williams, Gittens. |
Enzo5: 8:44pm On May 30 |
nateevs:gittens is most likely yet is he worth 50m+ if I were maresca or the board I would suggest trying paez on the left preseason, tyriq. George may go on loan. I doubt williams would come on cheap salary and bang 10+ goals. is rodrygo even in the market, that boy isn't a consistent lw for madrid for us to be thinking about him like that. If chelsea have that 100m, let them approach PSG and test if they can get 1 out of the 3 quality left wingers they have |

Enzo5: 9:12pm On May 30 |
Sterling was on decline, nkunku was injured just like this neto, felix was a reject and I said it last season him and sancho are not good options for us. it's annoying I won't lie, ing how they refused to sign leao that summer but ending up pay 70m for mudryk |

Enzo5:Players retire in their 30s after peaking in their 20s. But In england and chelsea, they are trying to retire you after 24, 25 when you still have legs to play. That means mbappe cannot play in england. This is not fair. Let's stop shortening the career span of these players before their peak years when most players under 25 haven't proven anything at all. E.g Michael Jackson, hojlund. Drogba was a late bloomer |

Trevor012:...but you failed to stick to your original choice of best players here 👇👇👇 Trevor012:So what happened to your Benzema and Bale? ![]() So now, when trying to criticize a team for parading “inferior” players, suddenly you acknowledge that Messi, Neymar, and Suarez represent elite-level talent, If Messi, Neymar, and Suarez are your reference point for greatness, why were they missing from your original “top 3” list? 🤔 When hate clouds judgment, logic goes out the window. 1 Like |
