You gotta feel for studio execs not getting recognition for the 'work' they do, I felt really bad for Matt.

I can't for the life of me think how they got so many stars and legendary directors/producers some who I only know by name to be a part of this series. It's epic.

° Brodaman,Which yeye recognition, those execs are paid well for them to afford the luxury they enjoy for doing nothing just g and taking credit from other people working for them. It meant everybody in the office should be in the credit then. Award ceremony credit creative input not business workers. If they want credits and award, they can start business executive award recognition for whatever they want on a platter... But sometimes i pity him cuz all he wants even with him putting an effort, Sal gets with no stress without chasing.
It re-echoes, don't chase recognition, let your work speak but if i no sell my story no one will know, knowing where to draw the line is ... The series is beautifully made, i can't get enough of it, actually real shit, names and scenarios

Apple TV and Seth Rogen really did a brilliant work with this TV show with the way they brought all sorts of top tier stars and directors to guest star in the series.
Top tier shit.

I saw this news the other day and I was laughing, with all the shout and talk about how Amazon has greenlit up to 5 seasons before S1 even premiered.

I we had arguments here about viewership numbers and audience reception. People were claiming they're committed to 5 seasons because some executive mentioned that shït on paper.

With this move.... it's not looking even good for Rings of Power with the amount of money they've spent and the continued drop in viewership numbers.
So that one might be cancelled anytime soon after S3 premieres and isn't a hit.

It's a shame I already ed some episodes and about watching the S3. I'd watch it nonetheless and see the growth with the production team.

This is probably the best show you can get if you really want to understand how Hollywood works. It touches virtually all facets of the industry as well as weird hilarious moments.

The comedy is just top notch and unmatchable. It's just hilarious in an organic way. Seth Rogen is just effortlessly hilarious.

The guest stars just make it all the more rich in substance and authenticity. Virtually, almost everyone; reporters, executives, actors, producers, directors, down to writers, I know in Hollywood was mentioned and/or started in the show.

From Martin Scorcese, Rob Howard, Ted Sorandos (Netflix co-CEO), even Hollywood insider like Matt Belloni starred. It was peak entertainment all through.

The most hilarious episodes being the last three. My faves being Cinemacon and The Presentation. This is just top tier artistry and genius. It is just funny from start to finish.

Key top characters being Sal Saperstein and that hilarious Golden Globes episode. Top tier exposé about Hollywood campaigns and Matt Remicks stüpid need for recognition. grin

Who would have thought a show being a caricature of real life Hollywood would be this interesting and addictive?. Highly recommended. grin

Ultimately the viewership of S3 was far below the cost of financing the show and Prime Video simply wasn't having it anymore.

Fantasy shows are always touch and go, because of the sheer cost, VFX, locations, props and all that goes into making them, the show has to prove it is worth it, and prove it fast!, unfortunately, WOT ran out of time.

Every studio has been chasing their next "GOT" without success. It is so hard replicating it, due to the huge financial obligation involved, and these execs are basically just throwing huge amounts of money into fantasy projects and rolling the dice. Funny enough, even "the great GOT", was one time considered "high financial risk", by HBO, immediately after 51, before it's popularity just blew off, and they just rode on the wave and had a massive payday, even that, they started making some cost saving decisions as the seasons rolled by, like topping off the Direwolves, cuz they simply couldn't manage the budget of animating them and the dragons at the same time.

Point is, Fantasy shows takes alot of effort to make, and the show has to justify that effort a million fold. WOT even tried sef, getting S3. As you pointed out, ROP might likely face the same faith. ⌛

° Brodaman, You forgot to add that Matt laugh, I'm so addicted i now laugh like that. You can't decide if it is a sarcastic, sad, evil, happy or comic laugh. It is that pretentious laugh he puts on when he is clueless.
I love Quinn, but that shagging scene be cringing out my jealous selfish boyfriend energy.

Yep. Succinctly put.

Something tells me if ROP doesn't deliver fast now, especially for S3, Amazon will abandon it or cut it short at S4 and just put their bets on the God of War series.

It's called a "Oner". grin grin

Everything is preplanned and executed to perfection in "One take".

I feel the Oners are quite shaky and not as silky smooth as the ones in ADOLESCENCE. It's top notch tho. Many Oners being in use in present TV shows. I hear there's some in SEVERANCE too.

Immediately he asked the drug dealer twice about the percentage and she insisted two-eights, I knew there was going to be trouble.

The series is A1.

The Last of Us.

I don't know what they have done to this series, but I don't like it. Even when that pregnant lady was shot, I felt zero emotion. His death on the other hand was a shocker. I didn't see that coming.

Maybe na just me. I'm very close to dropping it, cos wetin be this.

Abby even looks more like an 'Ellie' than Ellie.

Funnily enough, the Abby actress auditioned for the role of Ellie. As did this girl from Alien: Romulus who looks exactly like Ellie from the games. Why didn't they cast her🤦‍♂️

Cailee was too old to play 14 year old Ellie in season 1. She would have been a perfect cast for season 2 Ellie though
