A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to criticize Nigerian doctors and nurses, accusing them of negligence and a lack of empathy which she claims led to the death of her sister's husband.

In an emotional video, she said:

“Nigerian doctors, Nigerian nurses, you people can do better. It’s not fair. If you’re tired of the profession, please resign—just resign.
They brought someone to you for treatment, someone under your care, but because of your nonchalant attitude, you ended up killing my sister’s husband.
You’ve succeeded in making her a widow.
I don’t understand—if you’re tired of being a doctor or a nurse, resign so we can know who the real professionals are among you.

I really don’t understand how you can look at someone with a lifeless body and still show no sympathy—not for the person, not for the family. Instead, you talk to them anyhow. What is going on?
You're just after the money—we know. We know you're after the money. But still, you can do better.”

The video sparked emotional reactions from viewers, with many sharing their own heartbreaking experiences with healthcare professionals.

While her pain is valid and heartbreaking let’s we don’t know the full story so we should avoid emotional outbursts and stop casting blame on an entire noble profession based on one incident.

I have always said it that in order to be a succesful doctor.
You need to be heartless
Those guys will see a half open skull and they won't flinch..
They can use knife and cut somebody open and sew him back

I think the best doctors have no soul. They are dead emotionally
To look at someone fading into the shadow realm and still act non chalant is something i have personally seen nurses do.

A guy driving keke brought his mother in hospital. His sister was at the back crying telling her mother to wake up. The nurses where just there laughing and some cracked joke as how the guys cry was sounding funny.

I was shook to the bone.
But i realized these medical workers see death, pain, suffering and diseases regularly so that emotional side of them is completely erroded.

From her statement
U can clearly see she's just being completely emotional
I understand and my condolences for her

But if she thunk foul play she should go to court and prove her claim
Instead of coming online to accuse doctors based on emotions

When we say nigeria health system is terrible health workers are stretched and overwhelmed they'll think its a joke and wen things happen u blame the few health worker around

I think it’s right time for every family to have one or two family member in medical field, a friend wife labored for 3 days at a clinic owned by his family member, she gave birth the 3rd night with no complications.
The stubborn boy thought he was coming to the world to tap palm wine, he wrapped his hand, leg and neck with the umbilical cord thereby making it difficult for the strong woman to push him out.
I’m very sure most hospitals even abroad would deliver the baby through CS…They didn’t give up on the pregnant woman because she was their family so they put in more than their best to make sure the woman gave birth without any complications..

I don't like Nigerian medical professionals. There's something about many of them that reeks of anti-life, unfortunately!

They are all wicked especially the nurses. I was terribly shaking at FMC Abeokuta and all the nurse were looking and ing. They only rushed to me when threatened to kill nurse in sight if I die. I was shivering and shouting for help, no one came to me. After givin me anagestic, then recommended a certain malaria injection to buy. Do you know those nurses did not treat me with those injection? After the work anagestic, shivering continued . One day I asked a nurse to tell me how many doses are left in the injection, shock to ' four sir:"
That was when they started treating me . She was new in my ward. Others before bought the drugs and kept beside me without giving it to me. Our nurses are heartless ooo

It’s fine to be after money.
It is not from the benevolence of the farmer, baker that our food is assured. But from their own self interest to make a profit.

If you need a doctors services, get insurance or pay when you need it. Many a people have been helped, only to run away leaving the patient at the hospital.
