AN APPEAL TO ALL IMAMS ON THE USE OF LOUD SPEAKERS

By Sanusi Lafiagi

As we begin the journey into the last 10 days of this holy month, it is important to know that Islām commands respect for the right of others, especially our neighbours, and prohibits harming them.

Observing Qiyāmul-Layl in the last third of the night is a meritorious act. In some Mosques, announcements have been made that Tarāwīh prayers will be postponed to the middle of the night. This is commendable.

However, kindly note that using the loudspeaker at this time could constitute potential and serious disturbance and harm to the following persons:

1. Those who may have observed their Tarāwīh earlier in the night and want to enjoy their sleep;

2. Women who are off Salāt;

3. Pregnant and nursing mothers who haven't enjoyed enough sleep due to their conditions;

4. The sick and aged whose conditions exempt them from fasting and aren't strong enough to rise up to observe Salāt at that time;

5. Non-Muslims who have absolute right to their peace and sleep;

6. Kids who are below the age of puberty and need about 9hrs of sound sleep for their well-being;

7. Those who choose to observe their Qiyāmul-Layl in their homes with their families;

etc.

Please, let's respect the right of others as taught by Islām by observing our Qiyāmul-Layl without the use of loudspeakers.

May Allāh accept it from us all.

I fully this but it must be extended to churches who disturb us during Sundays when we are supposed to rest and sleep aggressively

If the house of assembly can work on this there's no problem. Islam is not a business and speaker is not necessary

This is just one of multiple of reasons I do not share space with a muslim community, the noise, the roadside kneeling and hitting heads, the dirtiness of the environs after pouring water from kettles disgust me.

The loud speakers and noise, does not make sense in a generation that has phone alarms to know time.

Are you guys ever going to evolve?

Absolutely.

This warning is for Masajid/Masjid and not the Imams. Some Masjid committee do override the Imams.

Islam is a contradiction perpetuated through threat and brainwashing from infancy before the logical faculty is developed in adulthood.

Then what about those who convert at Adulthood on their own volition?

Please, is there a way the published article has attacked or hurt you or your religion? Instead of commending the writer for his thoughtfulness, you decided to attack his religion. This attitude is uncivil and childish.

How about the noises from the loudspeaker or those made by congregants in the church? HYPOCRATE!

Then what about those who convert at Adulthood on their own volition?

Do you mean few Igbo men who sometimes convert in the North because of economic reason?
.
Or single women who were promised marriage by rich Muslim and see conversion as an act of convenience and port into good life?
.
Are u talking of forceful conversion of Christian young girls after being kidnapped, raped, broken and threatend to be killed?

Or are you talking about conversion by jihad terror carried out by Boko Haram and Utman Dan Fodio on locals?
..
So which conversion are u talking about?

What do you mean childish.. Isn't that the truth of your religion?
Wasn't Islam spread through conquest and brainwashing and beating of young children?

I asked about your age and Education because of what you typed.

From what you post here, I can see that it is not by your age but by your Education.

There are hundreds of thousands of Europeans who come to Islam after self study and comparative study.

Where they forced and coerced too?

I can give you hundreds of names.

Nope. It wasn't. You know absolutely nothing about Islam and, more worryingly, Christianity, your religion as well. So, I won't waste my time educating or debating with you on this subject. Clearly, you are not ready and mature enough for such an intellectual discussion.

Nothing intellectual about a person who can't see the contradiction in 'religion of peace, but capital punishment via sharia' where is the peace..
..
The next card u guys play as quid quo pro is saying Crusader and Inquisition history were Christian ideal like Jihad that is a tenet and command in ur scripture... Isn't that being dishonest and ignorant of Teaching of Christ and the Apostles? Pls don't reply... No one is ready for baseless argument

Is that the motivation for why isis, Al Qaeda , Bokoharam, and dozens of other Islamic terror groups keep slaughtering and bombing people in 21st century?
Is that why Christians don't take up arms to kill for religious belief while u all are ready to kill for Allah?
Is Number 31 the reason why Islam practising terror groups refused to stop abducting young school girls in Nigeria?

Let's assume you know what you are saying, so educate us.
Who were the Crusaders?
In the Bible, or rather Bibles, what is the punishment for apostasy?
What was the teaching of Jesus and the practices of the Apostles regarding apostasy?
When was the ruling on apostasy changed in the Bible and why? Did your "God" change his mind, and he wasn't thinking straight at first?
Talking about Jihad, what do you know about it? When do apply Jihad on a Nation?

Apostasy kor... Lol
You cut people's head for both blasphemy and apostasy... Even Judaism that was being practised during Christ period has stopped killing for apostasy.. But will u guys ever stop spilling blood and cutting arms and leg in the name of Allah while exonerating your hypocritic rich folks?
Jesus and the Apostle has no such ruling against apostasy... Jesus taught us to wait for judgement day. But u all turn judge beheading for fun

Your God aka Jehovah the Father of your Lord and Saviour killed too. Go read Number chapter 31.

So, what are you on about?

Was Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Cat Stevens coerced into Islam?

These are people your Ancestors can't put a candle to.

Were they forced?

As I stated earlier, you are not ready for a serious discussion. You don't need to prevaricate the facts here. I, like any other discerning folks expected that you will answer the questions.
