With the new reforms and policies by this current government, we are already in transition to restructuring.

New government establishments are being spread across the regions ( Job creation and empowerment) For the state to look after and also create their own .

I think it's time FG start reducing the monthly Oyel money to the governors. They would be forced to generate more IGR than what they are currently generating. States can now generate their own electricity, they have no silly excuses anymore.

The deducted money would be saved by FG in a new created which each states would have access to their balance. Whenever they run into trouble, whatever balance they have left, FG would remit it back to them. As you sow...... No more handout from the FG

Mumu helinus one of the most useless humans I have ever known, with a high level of sustained idiotic behavior.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD PRACTICE TRUE FEDERALISM BY ALLOWING STATES TO CONTROL THEIR RESOURCES AND PAY SOME PERCENTAGE WHICH SHOULDN'T BE MORE THAN 30 PERCENTAGE.

What the government should do is to make sure that all oil producing states gets more than 50% of all oil outputs from their states. This is the way to go. It is wrong for the federal government to hyjack all oil earnings from these oil producing states and then turn around to use a crooked media to make it look like those states are insolvent. That's being clever by half.

The oil being produced from their states (for which Lagos state where the oil companies headquarters are located) collects most taxes, as part of their "locally generated revenue"! The states should as a result, take the bulk of the money and let the federal government get some as tax. States in the north collects almost everything from their solid minerals sells. Herdsmen who make lots of money in this country from their multi trillion naira livestock businesses, don't pay any taxes!

Let the oil producing states take full control of their resources..

Read about federalism then you will know FG isn't meant to share any oil money. You can't share what you don't have.

It's a gradual process. FG might look into this

Not happening under Tinubu or under any APCs government. Runs contrary to their most prominent party goals

In fact I it. Let them stop sharing Oyel money and allow regions control their oil money. It will mean more money for oil producing states instead of their nonsense 13% derivation and it’s called true federalism

See, I don't know if it's because you guys are in the opposition, that's why you decided not to see things from different perspectives.

FG has generated Billion of Naira from Dangote refineries. If you consider the rate at which Lagos IGR is growing, you see all those on going projects, by the time they are done, the IGR should sky rocket. If the economy of each state is viable, they won't be relying on FG.

FG has attracted billions of dollars investment to Nigeria since his Excellency got into action . We are not borrowing unnecessarily because we are generating internally through taxation. We are funding our budget comfortably while so many projects are on going across the regions in Nigeria.

Don't even let us talk about how Wike has been transforming Abuja. Abuja can now be competing with other state capital in the world.

We don't want lazy governors in Nigeria who can't think for themselves

Unfortunately, any president or party that is huge on tribalism, will always find it difficult to allow the oil producing states to get that much out of the oil and gas earnings from their states. . Unless militancy is used to force their hands. It is the way things are. This has little to do with improved earnings across board or not. It has everything to do with the entrenched traditional pettiness that hallmarks Nigerias politics of attrition post 1970. And no party has done more to accentuate this behavioural pattern than the APC
