I have this particular Tenant who occupied one of my properties in Kaduna. This man has not been seen for over 7 years now. His phone number doesn't connect. He has not renewed his rent for 7 years.

He is the type of tenant that doesn't associate with people. He hardly receive guests when he was around. No family or friends to . I have waited for years with no news about his whereabouts. How do I recover my house from him? Where can I lodge such complains. Is it with Police or Court?

Someone has disappeared for almost a decade and his properties have been occupying my apartment for that the same period of time without the rent being renewed, still you have the guts to tell me not to do away with his properties so that I can rent it out to someone else? As for you op, I've experienced a similar case in my former area.......The landlord parked the tenant's properties into another smaller room and rented the house out to another person and hell wasn't let lose .......The funniest part is that up till now the werey tenant hasn't returned making it over 16 years of his sudden disappearance..

The laws in Kaduna is the same across Nigeria. 7 years is a very long time and you shouldn't have waited that long. After a year of not hearing from him, you should have involved the rent tribunal.
