The Israeli Ministry of Religious Affairs established shari‘a courts in Nazareth and Acre as early as August 1948. Another two courts were opened in Jaffa and Tayyibe in 1950, and a shari‘a court of appeal, located in West Jerusalem, was established on January 1, 1953. During the first years of their existence under Israeli rule, the operation of shari‘a courts was not regulated by Israeli law. The courts employed the OLFR and the Ottoman Law of Procedure for Shari‘a Courts of 1917, as adopted and amended by the Mandate regime, and the qadis were simply appointed by the bureaucrats of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

In December 1953, the Knesset ed the Shari‘a Courts Law (Validation of Appointments), 5714–1953. The law granted post-factum recognition to all rulings issued by the shari‘a courts in Israel since their establishment. It also confirmed previous appointments of qadis, and charged the Minister of Religious Affairs with the implementation of the law.3 And yet, while the Shari‘a Courts Law (Validation of Appointments) regulated the operation of existing shari‘a courts, and legalized the rulings of the officiating qadis, it did not outline a procedure for making new appointments. A comprehensive qadis law that regulates all matters relating to the appointment of new qadis, was only legislated in 1961.4 The Qadis Law defined a qadi as a judge in a shari‘a court or in a shari‘a court of appeal (Article 1), and stated who is eligible to be appointed as a qadi: a Muslim, who has “suitable training in shari‘a law;” whose way of life and character befit the status of a qadi; and who is at least thirty years of age, and is married or has been married (Article 2).

Since 2001, however, state supervision over shari‘a courts has somewhat increased. In September 2000, the Israeli government, headed by Prime Minister Ehud Barak, decided to annul the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and to disperse its responsibilities among other government ministries. This decision was never fully implemented, and was later canceled all together, but it affected the shari‘a courts nevertheless: in January 2001, the shari‘a court system was transferred, together with the Druze court system, to the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice.

Everyone has heard of the travesty that is the rabbinical court system, but few people realize that there is also a publicly-funded Sharia court system: some 19% of the population of Israel is Muslim, and naturally they are not expected to have rabbis marry and divorce them. There are eight Sharia courts in Israel: in Jerusalem, Jaffa, Haifa, Be’er Sheva, Nazareth, Acre, Taybeh, and Baka Al Garabiya.

One of the reasons given for religious courts operating parallel to civil courts in Israel is the much hushed up anti-miscrgenous laws that are embedded in the Israeli constitution. The anti miscegenation law not only bans interfaith marriage but also goes further in banning interracial marriages so much so that most inter faith or inter racial marriages have to be conducted outside of Israel . Cyprus and Malta are the preferred destinations for interfaith/interracial couples to tie the knot but this does not confer recognition by the Israeli State when they return back as couples.

It's Aso important that I inform you imbes that the Israeli constitution recognises only 2 religions - Judaism and Islam. Christianity is considered by both Israeli law and Jewish religion as Paganism.

A Jew can still remain a Jew if he converts to Islam or becomes atheistic . But once a Jew converts to Christianity he or she is no longer a Jew and is ostracized. This is why you have a tonne of Jews masquerading as muslims in Al Qaeda and ISIS with Abu Bakr (ISIS caliph) and Al Joulani of Syria's HTS being prime examples of Jews leading Islamist terrorist groups waging war on Christians.

Also, being that Israeli law only recognises 2 religions as aforementioned and listed, religious discrimination laws do not apply to any one not of Jewish or Islamic faith. This is why Jews have impunity in spitting on Christians and vandalizing churches in Israel. The Israeli authorities never act on such attacks by Jewish zealots . Anti Christian speech and processions are perfectly normal in Israel for this reason so it is normal to turn on your TV set in Israel and see children programs castigating our Lord . The multiplier operator "X" and the addition symbol "+" are banned in Israeli school books because it looks like the cross.

So for you imbe Zionists who have decided to latch on the ongoing Sharia debacle in Oyo -a state that is marginally muslim dominated, note that in your precious so called "holy land" , Sharia law is backed , financed and ed by the Israeli government

Merry Christmas 🎄 and that Christ is King .

Quick to compare themselves with other countries when it's something that's in their favour. Not Quick to use the same development process. Sharia law will only be used when we divide this country.

Your Pissrael considers Islam as the only compatible religion and has Christianity as its arch enemy and they consider it to be paganism that must be wiped out.

If you must condemn Sharia courts anywhere in Nigeria you should extend same to your satanic Pissrael.

I posted in my original post that the reason the Israeli government promotes Sharia courts is to ensure their anti-miscrgenous laws are enforced.

The Israeli courts do not conduct marriages but leaves it to religious courts .

This is to ensure that the apartheid state is preserved along religious lines.

I am not holding brief for Islam but pointing out your hypocrisy .

You cannot condemn Sharia law courts anywhere in Nigeria when it is up and running in your Zionist ideal state.

Also, I believe Sharia courts are a billion times better than your numerous voodoo shrines that dot your yeast that serve as your highest courts.

How many times have I seen you post against Solodu's open condemnation on the rising scourge of diabolical shrines ? Did you not advance "freedom of religion" as a reason why Solodu should stop linking terrorism and criminality and your voodoo shrines?

If you are quick to defend your diabolical heathen shrines that serve as courts then you have no business condemning Sharia courts

Another animal comparing the Israeli situation with the delicate and fragile Nigerian situation.

Do you idiots even think at all? What is the literacy rate of Israel compared to the impoverished and majorly illiterate Nigerian situation? What is the population of the whole of Israel compared to Nigeria or even the southwest.

Thats why you dont just do something just because someone else does it somewhere else. The peculiarities of the Nigerian state is a factor that must be considered by somebody with a working brain.

Op you are such an slowpoke. You are comparing Israel to multi ethnic country like Nigeria, you are comparing Israel to nigeria when it comes to Sharia, but not in illiteracy rate, development and fastest way in dealing with Islamic terrorists. Well that's what we expect from a jihadist like you. Oponu!...the spread of jihadist styled laws in Nigeria will be the reason another war will happen in this fragile country.

You should stop citing silly illogicality of Nigeria with Israel's common sense. Only fools do not know Israel is a secular society with adherence to the rule of law. Israel has Muslim population therefore sharia is for people of Islamic faith. However, Nigeria has no respect to the strict detect of the law hence sharia is alleged to be constructed without concerns of the people of Christian faith.

Merry Christmas 🎄 and that Christ is King .
go and establish your sharia in your southwest and leave southeast and south south alone.

See this fool.

Israel is multireligious and more diverse in religious persuasion than Nigeria .

There are Jews of all conflicting sects, Druzes, Greek Orthodox Christians, Catholics and then muslims .

If Israel with 17% Muslim population can enact Sharia law and courts why can't it be done in a country like Nigeria that is split into half between Muslims and Christians ?

Swamp 🐷 pig of escravos has dropped his half-baked article as usual.

Israel does not operate Sharia law. The Sharia courts you see there existed there pre independence and do not handle criminal cases even among Muslims nor do they even handle civil cases. There jurisdiction end among the Muslims and on marriage issues and religion, which are personal issues. They are strictly regulated by Israeli civil authorities.

You can promote your Sharia in Yorubaland without necessarily seek validation from Igbo masters.

Israel is not more diverse than Nigeria. Israel has a dominant value system which is Jewish. Nigeria doesn't. Nigeria has several, equal competing value systems.

But you guys are now resorting to shrines to settle your disputes .

I believe it's high time the state governors in your yeast recognise voodoo shrines as courts since you all flock to them .
Voodoo Shrines are far better than Sharia courts.
Keep your Sharia Courts in Arewastan Nigeria

Tax Reforms is what we are pushing to make Nigeria a better place for us all. Sharia loving cretins are laziest looting monsters that littered the corridors of power since 1960.
They are mostly HausafulaniKanuri Muslims ☪️.
Check all their states and see poverty, illiteracy, almajiris production, terrorism, Banditry, kidnapping, religious crisis, Jihad and general low GDP. All the evils 😈 that have befallen our Country are deeply rooted in Sharia ideology. Impunity, partiality, segregation and and political downturn of our Economy etc...

Op, What is the correlation between IPOB and the establishment of Sharia courts in Oyo State and the entire Southwest?

Firstly , I am not from SW but the SS.

Secondly, you are not in any position being from the now apostate SE to claim champions of Christianity in Nigeria.

Lastly, you are bloody hypocrites to condemn Sharia law in Nigeria when it is up and going in Israel and you guys in the SE have now since began flocking to your own voodoo shrines to settle disputes.

Sharia courts were enacted in Israel to ensure the anti-miscrgenous laws are enforced.

It compliments the anti-miscrgenous laws that forbid inter faith marriages since the civil courts do not carry out marriage ceremonies only religious courts can officiate a marriage ceremony.

Can a Sharia court or a Jewish rabbinate officiate a wedding between two different religions ?

Merry Christmas .

I know the above is kryptonite to you kikes.
