Magodo is the poshest/classiest of the three. Completely upscale and no mix with slums and also relatively the most secure. It is also the most expensive. Closest to Ikeja but farthest from the Island.

Gbagada also has very good housing estates but it's mixed with the rough and not so secure areas as well. Its central location with easy access to Ikeja and Island is a plus.

Surulere is the biggest by far and has a mix of the very good to the very bad. In of liveliness, it is the best but also the least secure. It's also the closest to the Island.

Ogudu GRA is also another very decent place to stay, but it's more like Gbagada in assessment.

Ikeja GRA, Omole phases 1 & 2 are other sweet posh and serene locations to live in Mainland Lagos.

Single room self contain should be around 900k, that is if you can find one.

Miniflat should 1.5 to 2m

Surprised peeps are saying gbagada is Central to everywhere.

Surulere is more central to any location in Lagos than the other 2.

Anywhere in Lagos is easy to access from surulere.

How on earth will you say gbagada has easier access to the island than surulere. Haba.

Lere used to be safe but that's in the past, just few days ago two men on a bike killed a man in broad day light along Adeniran Ogunsanya, and that's the second time in a month.

Lere is old glory, hit men has taken over Surulere.

I am almost 50 and an alumni of Government College, Eric Moore. I have business in Surulere and I still frequent there because my friends still lives in Bode Thomas and Adeniran Ogunsanya, if you didn't hear about the incident then ask those who lives there.
The news was even trending on Twitter yet you're not aware of it, stop depending on nairaland for news so that you will be aware of happenings in the country.

Magodo phase 2 is the Home of the Bigshot that don’t like islands Water issue,Money is not there problem.

Surulere is the best sha. talk of places like Alaka estate, iponri estate, adelabu, ogunsanya, bode Thomas, ogunlana drive, olufemi to sam shonibare etc. you want good night life? you will get it 💯. upscale restaurant, clubs and supermart. no use lere play abeg. and most houses in lere are being refurbished and rebuild now, no be all houses are old abeg

1m can only get you miniflat in lere ooo. where you wan see 2bed for 1m. even some self con dey go for 1m.

I relocated from phc , to Lagos, now based in Surulere. About 18 mins drive to island o, if no traffic and lesser to Ikeja or there about. The good thing with Surulere, we can use third mainland or eko bridge, incase of road wahala. I stay at Ogunlana drive o, rent here na die. I leave the office by 5pm, get home before 6pm, my colleague leaving in Gbagada waits till 7pm because of traffic, the one at magodo leaves 5pm get to her house after me have taken dinner and bath o. shine your eye

depends on where at gbagada cos some places are notorious.

Magodo some areas are better than others.

Surulere has casted. Congested, terrible and unnecessary traffic, old buildings yet expensive to rent. However its good for commerce and recreation.
