GorillaApp: I can't really say how long a ball t would last because I guess it depends on a number of factors e.g. Are there other failed suspension components putting unnecessary stress on the ball ts, the kinds of bad road driven etc. Try to replace worn suspension components on time. When mine developed the warning signs maybe around 170k miles. After I changed it with OEM, I drove it till 265k miles when I sold the car without any problems. During my routine inspections there was no wear either. I doubt you can get OEM locally. I had to buy mine from hondapartsnow.com or was it Amazon? It was pricey about $70 each and this was around 2015. I'll do it again if required because nothing beats peace of mind with cars. 1 Like |

The results are in! Very clearly, Dangote's fuel is the best in the country. PICTURE 1: Top of one of the pistons from my 2017 Accord. I was getting fuel from NNPC and other rubbish outlets when I took this borescope shot. The piston is coated with brownish impurities from the fuel. I think it's from heavy sulphur content of the fuel. PICTURE 2: After my first tank of Dangote fuel bought from MRS filling station. You can see the brownish stuff is being cleared from the piston crown. I think NNPC outlets have some of the worst fuel. 2 Likes |

id4sho: Totally agree with you. I now only buy from stations I know that carry Dangote fuel. Still observing. I was buying from MRS one day and asked the attendant to dispense a sample into a clear bottle, stuff was colourless! 3 Likes |

Ayo8: I had to start using a fuel system cleaner that comes in a liter and you add in aliquots to every fill up. This is the only thing keeping my car from having knocks after every couple thousand miles. |

Current look of the piston top after more time on Naija fuel diet. The amount of brownish impurities is just horrible. This is not even up to 2 months after getting the car

2nd examination after a couple weeks on our petrol... You can already see some impurities developing as highlighted.

To buttress the point on the low quality of fuel, here are pictures from the combustion chamber of a car I examined. Car was bought Tokunbo. This is the 1st footage upon getting the car. You can see there are no brownish impurities

I'm not talking of improving supply and having cheaper pricing. This is about having cleaner fuel. Just from my time looking into combustion chambers over the years, it's clear quality of fuel here is not great. Lots of impurities. More posts to come. 1 Like |

Just getting to this heart-wrenching news. What a loss to Nigeria. I met Gazzuzz once. Had the pleasure of visiting his workshop. What a day it was. In the end, I recall he paid for my Uber ride back, despite my pleas to him not to. I am pained. For us left down here, please make peace with Jesus. Salvation is free. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:12 11 Likes 2 Shares |

mexxy1: Thanks @mexxy1. ADAS calibrations require some advanced stuff that can only fit in a garage. My DIY level is yet to reach dia ![]() ![]() While a scan tool may ADAS caliberation, you still need those crucifix-style alignment machines to complete the calibration. I think Radautoworks has ADAS... Aye? |

kelvinmnet: Depends on the car. Though most and I think this one too has an internal filter in addition to the external one. I got OEM from Amazon or hondapartsnow.com I believe. New Chinese ones are sold in the local car parts markets |

This very common car soap makes good foam

I upgraded my pressure washer some months back to integrate an aftermarket foam canon. It's been amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6jt0EyR8O8 The good thing is that I've found a locally manufactured car shampoo that makes really good foam. Do you snow foam your car?

jceesquare: It's the Selpro brand. Made in Taiwan. 140k. Yea. I saw a low of Chinese brands which I couldn't vouch for. Also saw the Ingco brand which has a reputation among Chinese tools. I didn't go with Ingco because it didn't have a long handle. Also, I don't like yellow as a colour on jacks ![]() 3 Likes |

chukel: Nail on the head. I in 2010 or so, I was at my then mechanic. At his neighbours setup, a 2007 - 2011 Toyota Camry just had an oil change and one of those oil treatment concoctions was being added to the car. Guy was definitely rich to afford a current model Camry at the time. Just imagine what the combo of consistent 20w-50 + thick oil treatment would have done to the engine. |
