flokii:without the influx of people from other states lagos will be a shadow of itself. A blend of different people from different places come into lagos with different ideas, bringing their ideas into fruition and whallah you have Lagos. No country or state can thrive or develope on its own without the impact of immigrants. For example America becoming a super power stems from its heterogenous society, same thing with the ancient Roman empire. So Lagos is a mini Nigeria which is the reason for its transformation. The indigenous people alone could never have made lagos what it is today even after two hundred years. 1 Like |

This is land grabbing and terrorism. If the Nigerian armed forces is overwhelmed by these herders activities, why not engage foreign mercenaries? Because these killings are basically carried out in particular areas of interest to the perpetrators. The middle belt is their target, it is obvious and everyone knows that. The government knows that, but the political will to fight them upfront isn't their, owing to the fact that power is at play. Power rotation is strictly between the yoruba west and Fulani north. The west is least concern with the killings as they are not affected in any way, because their political will have seen to the birth of Amotekun. By the time power shifts to the north and in the hand of another Fulani, then the fate of the middle belt will be sealed. For this carnage to stop, a third force must emerge. All minority tribes in Nigeria should form a coalition to battle this menace at the polls. Any section of this country that feels marginalized should forces with the so called minority and bring this menace to its end. This is an all out war and the aggressors are strongly rooted. They are everywhere in our government, in our armed forces. Fighting an enemy within is the hardest fight especially an enemy with a clearly defined mission and goal.

WizardOfNG:the so called northern leaders if at all there is any that is honourably worth mentioning is only obsessed with power grabbing with nothing to show for it. The mindset of the average northern leader is diminutive and hardly can have a global vision with which to set as a fulcrum for a nationalistic growth. The northern leaders are derailed by eighteen century dogma as against the twenty first century global liberties. In the sixty years of Nigerian independence, the north has been in power for more than forty years which is laughable because there is nothing to show for it except backwardness. With more out of school children than any country in the world is a recipe for the continuous cycle of negative attributes that defines the north now. Even if given power for the next thirty years without interruption, the north will still remain a shadow of itself because the north lacks the knowledge of its fundamental issues. Getting it right can only be done by a deliberate shift in the negative ideologies of a people that have panned out for decades and has come to be generally accepted as a tradition that when tempered with can only spell doom- in their ignorance! The northern leaders are saboteurs who takes ignorance of its people to an advantage as a weapon to be used to gain political power. The northern leaders should be judged and justice should be served for the deliberate act of ignorance. 2 Likes 1 Share |

The Trump and Putin two hour intense phone conversation is yielding result- Negatively. Because there was no truce in the first place as to Russian cease fire. While zelensky is eager for a cease fire, Putin on the other hand is not ready. Putin is also trying to proof to the world that he isn't a puppet whose string Trump could easily pull. There is more to the Russian Ukraine war than meets the eye.

Illiteracy, bigotry, tribalism, nepotism. These are the qualities of Nigerians that keeps us in this perpetual cycle. Of course the politicians use this qualities to their advantage. So a tinubu couldn't have been the president of this country without these people giving it to him. Sad enough, they are more in number than the right thinking Nigerians, and it will take time money and energy to be able to rewire the mindset of this people. It is a hopeless situation sincerely.

I must it that Ndlea is doing a mighty good job under Buba Marwa. But this is just little compared to what is coming in and going out. The question that has plaque my mind lately is that, why is the effort of the Ndlea equally met with brazen doggedness and resilience on the part of the perpetrators? People no longer fear if they are caught. Because the social media is afloat with pictures of offenders, but still yet many more are indulging in the act. Why is it difficult to take correction?

No free meal ticket any where. Any business that promises an ROI of 100% that is not real estate is fraud. It is really appalling that Nigerians kept falling victim of ponzi scheme. The problem with us is not just greed, but we suffer from acute dementia which if properly checked might stem from our diet. If not, how can we repeatedly fall victim of political manipulation by our so called politicians and financial fraud of all kinds. Such as this.

Kushites:hoarding has been an age long tradition. People buy goods at cheaper rate and store till when there is price increase. How should that be the reason for food scarcity and shortage? Insecurity and corruption are the problem and cluelessness of the government is not helping issues. May God expose enemies of Nigeria! |
