Elon Musk offered a rare glimpse into his world this week when he shared a photo of his chaotic bedside table, but it's not just the Diet Coke cans and prop guns that have baffled both his critics and fans.

Littered among the 51-year-old billionaire's personal possessions was a vajra, a ritual weapon that symbolizes 'indestructible power' and 'enlightenment' in Tibetan Buddhism.

Musk is often described as being atheist or agnostic, though he has never specified his religious beliefs in certain . Many eagle-eyed Twitter s questioned what he was trying to convey by showing off the tool.

Brian Roemmele, founder of the Multiplex app and website, was among those who pointed out the vajra on his bedside table.

Elon Musk, 51, offered a rare glimpse into his world this week when he shared a photo of his chaotic bedside table that was topped with a Buddhist vajra

Littered among the billionaire's possessions was a vajra, a ritual weapon that symbolizes 'indestructible power' and 'enlightenment' in Tibetan Buddhism

The vajra is typically made of bronze and has five prongs that create a lotus shape

'While most of the world is distracted, I see the symbolism that is always present and you and I will decode it,' he tweeted.

'This is the Vajra (Dorje). This device goes back to over 30,000 years from the Vedic and Sumerian cultures. Model of a "free energy" [lightning] device from the gods.'

In Sanskrit, vajra means both 'thunderbolt' and 'diamond.'

The vajra most often appears as a weapon and is widely linked to Indra, the thunderbolt-wielding king of the gods in Hindu mythology, who is known as Śakra in Buddhist culture.

It is used to overcome an 'external or internal obstacle' and is seen as both a 'tool of comion and skillful means leading to the indestructible state of enlightenment,' according to Tricycle: The Buddhist Review.

The vajra is also a tool for meditation, which Musk has experimented with in the past.

'You just sort of sit there and be quiet and then repeat some mantra, which acts as a focal point,' he said of his meditation practice on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast in 2018. 'It does still the mind, but I don't find myself drawn to it frequently.'

The SpaceX founder posted the picture of his bedside table without context, and many people wanted to know why he was sleeping next to a vajra.

'I guess nobody caught that the weirdest thing about Musk's picture is the vajra next to the toy guns. I'll let you look up what that is,' one person tweeted.

Many eagle-eyed Twitter s questioned what he was trying to convey by showing off the tool

'Everyone's riffing on the replica guns and the Coke cans, but I haven't seen anyone address why Elon Musk has a vajra on his bedside table,' another agreed.

'The vajra "cleaves through ignorance"... pretty funny of @elonmusk to include this in his bedside paraphernalia,' someone else commented.

Jowua, a leading provider of Tesla accessories, hinted that the ritual weapon was a gift without offering any explanation.

'Everyone is talking about the Diet Coke that @elonmusk drinks, but did you not notice the Vajra?' the company tweeted. 'Shouldn't be surprised the richest man in the world would own "one of the most powerful weapons in the universe"! Lovely gift from a friend I'd guess.'

Musk's picture shows the varja sitting on the corner of the table, in front of not one, but two replica guns.

Musk's nightstand also displayed a half-empty water bottle, four caffeine-free Diet Coke cans, and not one, but two replica guns

The SpaceX founder shared the snapshot without context, but he did address the condensation rings on his bedside table

One of the revolvers appears to be modeled after the Diamond Back .357 from the Deus Ex: Human Revolution video game.

The other is a copy of George Washington's flintlock pistol sitting in a wooden box. The open lid displays Emanuel Leutze's famous painting of Washington crossing the Delaware River during the American Revolution.

Some critics slammed Musk for having the symbolic weapon next to actual weapons.

'A gun with Vajra doesn’t sit well. They stand for two different things: one for blood and one for peace,' one Twitter noted.

'Pretty cringe. How can you have a Buddhist Vajra right next to a gun?' someone else asked the Tesla CEO.

WHAT IS A VAJRA?

The vajra is a ritual object associated with Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism.

It is used in Tibetan Buddhism and serves as a symbol of Vajrayana, one of the three major schools of Buddhism.

In Sanskrit, vajra means both 'thunderbolt' and 'diamond.'

It represents 'indestructible power' and most often appears as a weapon that is wielded like a club, according to Tricycle: The Buddhist Review.

The vajra is used to overcome an 'external or internal obstacle' and is seen as both a 'tool of comion and skillful means leading to the indestructible state of enlightenment.'

The tool is widely linked to Indra, the thunderbolt-wielding king of the gods in Hindu mythology, who is known as Śakra in Buddhist culture.

The vajra is also a tool for meditation.

It is typically made of bronze and has five prongs — four outer and one central — that create a lotus shape and represent the five elements, the five poisons, and the five wisdoms.

However, they vary by region and can also have three or nine spokes.

The vajra, bell, and mala prayer beads are the three most important ritual objects in Vajrayana Buddhism.

'You should not have a vajra near a gun. Unacceptable. It's not a weapon in that sense,' another insisted.

There were also a number of people who believed Musk was sharing a secret message with the bizarre display.

'As a whole, seems this may represent @elonmusk fight for freedom/revolution against tyranny (modeled after Washington, founding fathers of US), across physical/political dimension (revolutionary gun), the virtual/digital dimension (Deus Ex gun) and spiritual dimension (Vajra),' one person theorized.

The richest man in the world also had a half-empty bottle of water and four caffeine-free Diet Coke cans sitting on the nightstand, which was covered with condensation rings from his beverages.

Musk, who has previously spoken about kicking his 'ridiculous' caffeine addiction, wrote in a follow-up tweet: 'There is no excuse for my lack of coasters.'

Super Eagles star Boniface has a questions for his fans following his failed move to Saudi Arabia.
Nigerian international Victor Boniface has broken his silence following his failed transfer to a Saudi Arabian club.

The 24-year-old striker appeared to be on the cusp of a major move from Bayer Leverkusen to Al Nassr.

A €60 million transfer fee was reportedly agreed upon, and it seemed personal were also finalised, suggesting the deal was all but done.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Al Nassr signed Jhon Duran from Aston Villa instead, paying a higher transfer fee of €77 million. This sudden change of plans left Boniface's future uncertain and raised questions about the factors that influenced Al Nassr's decision.

The Super Eagles star took to social media to express his thoughts on the matter, saying, "Una don calculate finish," which roughly translates to "You've finished calculating" in Nigerian Pidgin.

Although the details of the failed transfer are still unclear, Boniface's statement indicates that he is not dwelling on the past and is instead looking forward to new opportunities.

Victor Boniface is set to continue at Bayer Leverkusen after his move to Al Nassr failed.
Victor Boniface's deal to Al Nassr is effectively off after the Saudi Pro League giants opted to go another route.

The 24-year-old was agonisingly close to completing a deal to the Faris Najd, as an agreement on a €60 million transfer fee with Bayer Leverkusen was reached and personal sorted.

However, Al Nassr did not take the final step in securing the deal, as they decided to commit to another player.

As Pulse Sports reported, Boniface's big money move was thrown in doubt after Al Nassr began negotiations with Aston Villa for Jhon Duran.

Earlier tonight, they reached an agreement on a transfer fee worth €77 million, and according to Fabrizio Romano, personal between the club and the Colombian had been negotiated.

Boniface will be hoping to continue from where he stopped before the injury.
The Faris Najd were to decide between Boniface and Duran, and according to the aforementioned Romano's latest story, Duran got the call, which effectively ended Al Nassr's deal with the Nigerian, as they only wanted one striker.

Meanwhile, Sadio Mane could be on his way back from Europe, as despite his comments on being focused on helping Al Nassr achieve their ambitions, the links to Galatasaray and Inter have not gone away.

You contradicted yourself...if he signed an extension worth 6mn a year, his new 15mn deal will be 9mn more, not 13mn more. Just a correction on the details.
The 6 mn a year extension at Bayer Leverkusen only applied in year 2029 which I mentioned. He was locked in at 2 million Euro since last year and was in effect until the year 2028 before Arab money came to rescue him from the bad contract he signed.

My father had the money to sponsor me to go play football in Europe if he wanted. He was telling me that i will have to get a degree first, or else he will not sponsor me. He was telling me that football is just a hobby, and not what people do as career, asking me what i will fall back to when I retire from football, and how having a degree will distinguish me from other footballers. Nothing i didn't beg this man. Me that graduated with the best footballer award in my secondary school. He wanted me to get a degree first, then start hustling football career when I graduate at 22 years.

The chance of making it as a footballer is equivalent to winning the lottery. There are millions of youths in Warri, Benin, Port Harcourt, Kano, Ibadan, Enugu and Lagos trying to get the 100 slots of footballers that make the millions of Euro/Pounds like the Osimhen, Boniface, Lukman, Iwobi.

That money (65m Euro) no be him pay, na wetin the club take sign am. His weekly pay is still unknown.
The 65m Euro is the amount the Saudi Club Al- Nassr will pay to Bayer Leverkusen as transfer fee. His net salary will be 15 million Euros when moves to Cristiano Ronaldo Club Al- Nassr which makes him the highest paid Nigerian football player in history.

His current annual pay for the next four years if he choose to remain in Bayer Leverkusen was 2 million euros. He signed a bad contract and would have been grossly underpaid, until 2029 when he signed an extension for 6 million Euros.

Nigerians don't understand why he is making this move early in his career. That is because he signed a bad contract that pays him only €2 million Euros a year half of which goes to the German government in tax for the next for four years until 2028 by that time he will be 27. And recently signed a new contract extension for €6 million Euros for year 2029 by that time he will be 28.

With this Saudi deal he will be making €15 million Euros net in salary annually which is €13 million more than what he currently makes and he won't be paying tax on his wages in Saudi Arabia.

Now he has rectified that contract mistake that underpaid him to become the highest paid Nigerian footballer in history.

Nigeria's Victor Boniface could leave Bayer Leverkusen for Al Nassr this window after a big-money bid from the Saudi Pro League.
Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface’s bold comment about choosing between money and trophies has resurfaced amid intense speculation linking him with a move to Saudi Pro League giants Al Nassr.

Al Nassr is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen to secure Boniface’s services for a fee exceeding €60 million, a figure that aligns with the club's strategy to bolster its attacking lineup following the departure of Anderson Talisca.

Victor Boniface: Why Super Eagles star may not Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr
The 24-year-old striker has been in impressive form, scoring eight goals in 15 matches this season before an injury sidelined him in November.

The Boniface statement, made in a resurfaced video on TikTok, has stirred significant discussion as the Nigerian forward approaches a lucrative move from Bayer Leverkusen to the Saudi Pro League club.

Asked what he would choose if presented a choice between winning trophies or money, the Super Eagles striker was straight to the point, stating, “Money.”

Boniface's reaction reflects a growing trend among players prioritising financial rewards over traditional accolades in football.

Boniface will be hoping to continue from where he stopped before the injury.

Meanwhile, his absence from training ahead of Leverkusen’s Champions League match against Sparta Prague has further fueled speculation about his imminent transfer.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed the official talks on social media, highlighting that Boniface is poised to become one of the highest-paid Nigerian footballers, with an annual salary projected at €15 million.

Boniface is Nigeria's most valuable player.
This move not only positions him alongside stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane at Al Nassr but also represents a huge financial leap from his current earnings in .

The discussions between Al Nassr and Leverkusen have progressed rapidly, with reports indicating that Boniface has already ed his medical examination.

Victor Boniface is back in training but has not played since December.
With both clubs eager to finalise the deal before the transfer window closes, Boniface's decision appears increasingly clear: he is ready to embrace the financial opportunities offered by the Saudi Pro League regardless of debates about his age and leaving Europe's top five leagues..
