Good morning Nairaland big family,life has really dealt with me for the past years,I finished my secondary school in 2006 and gained ission into Niger delta university in same year as Agric/environmental engineering things where going fine along the line in my year 2 I went to see my HOD and he said am no longer a student again,I tried asking him why but there was no tangible reason, i went home with tears thinking about my life after telling my parents what has happened,the next year which is 2008 I still took jamb and I still gained ission in same Niger delta university to study Civil Engineering along the line in year 2 i still hard that problem which they refused to tell me,it was like my world has ended because i was doing fine academically those teenage days and I still went back home.
After my two times withdrawal from Niger delta university I never still gave up on my educational PURSUIT, from 2010 I started writing jamb again but to no avail the cutoff mark will not be up to the school required mark so 2014 I took a pre-degree program in University of portharcourt and gained ission in 2015 to study EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY/GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING after much years of staying at home as age is going I could not study my desired engineering course any more and since I have other siblings also my father became tired of ing me like those days,things were going fine with me in Uniport and I use to manage my little salary in buying few book,paying my rent and feeding,along the line in my year 2 I impregnated my girlfriend and she delivered a baby girl for me,I was happy to have a baby if not for finance there is no regret.
2018 early part I dont know what really happened but I was short paid 22k every month for more than nine months,I kept making complaints in my place of work but to no avail,things became rough for me,school and family combined together life became hell for me,my house rent expired in school and I could not renew it due to my financial incapacity,I missed alot of classes in my year 3 and my course mates will be calling me on phone Bina are u not coming to school again,I will just smile and say u will not understand,later I will just be thinking about my life inside the room and be crying,during 300 level exams I started coming from Bayelsa to PH to write my exams,things became rough for me,no helper and I have up to 18 siblings so I cant be disturbing my retired father which is my only pilar on earth,when I went to check my 300level result i have 3 carry over and one missing script,i went home and said what kind of life is this i never gave up,fast forward to my final year 2019 it was like hell on earth I have no place to stay in school nd my daughter is up to the age of going to school,feeding my family and my educational pursuit became hell for me.

2019 God helped and I ed my daughter in a secondary school while I will stay in Bayelsa and will beg few persons to be updating me while I manage to pay my fees from home,time of project came and I was assigned a project supervisor but due to finance I could not do my final year project along the line my woman became pregnant in 2021 and gave birth a baby girl again for me in 2021 things became tougher I was liking given up but I went to my course adviser and he encouraged me to try my best to finish up,the very day my course mates did their project defense I was like let me die and go I cried but I thought of my kids if i kill myself,sometimes I have to beg few friends and coursemates to feed my family because my little pay is never a enough and my prayers was to finish up so I can put it in my place of work to have a good pay but life has been hell for my wife is pregnant carrying our third child.

Yes, go to Lasuth. Dont pick number at d entrance, tell them u are taking " private vaccine ". Walk straight to any of the matrons, explain to her, show her ur card and tell her d one u want to take, if available, u will b told d amount and where to pay. After paying, go back with d receipt and ur baby will IMMEDIATELY get d shot. I guess the vaccine should b 2 doses, so, prepare to come exactly a month after for 2nd dose ( ask d nurses sha). NOTE : private vaccine at Lasuth can b taken any day of d week, I prefer u going thursday cos the availability of the vaccine is 80% sure on that day ( thats d day babies 6months and above get their vaccine). Hello Mamas. I took my baby to get his one-year vaccines (chickenpox, MMR and vitamin A) but the hospital I use didn't have the chickenpox vaccine. They said it's not been available for a while, and they promised to call when it is.

I'm worried about not getting his shot early, as there is no guarantee of when it will be available. Is there any implication in delaying the shot?

Chicken pox, MMR is not even one of the scheduled immunizations in Nigeria, its optional. This why many health centers dont have it, and if u insist on taking it in government facilities, u pay for it unlike the scheduled ones which are free. Your baby is due for d vaccine FROM one year to about 15months or more.So , if ur baby missed it at 12months, it can still b taken anytime before 18months,meaning ur baby is still......... Walk into Lasuth immunization center on any Thursday, ask d nurses if its available ( explain to them d one d baby already took cos u pay 4 Chicken pox, MMR together). Most times its available sha. Its a private immunization, so dont worry about being delayed. You pay and get d shot immediately ,u dont follow any protocol like others that came for d scheduled vaccine.
