He has a one-track mind. A workman with a hammer who always sees every problem as a nail. What's with the obsession with concrete? Who builds an airport runway with concrete? Most of the concrete roads he did in Abakaliki are already beginning to fail. He revoked the Kaduna-Abuja contract from Julius Berger who were doing a fantastic solid job with a new asphalt technology just to award it to an obscure Infiouest construction company that no one has ever heard about. All because of concrete and so-called contract variation but the final re-awarded sum to the new company is almost matching what Julius Berger billed and I'm sure the new company will eventually ask for an upward review. 14 Likes 4 Shares |

bdon123: Is that what you people tell yourselves in the Southwest now? Elrufai didn't fail when he galvanised northerners against naira crunch and made them give an unpopular Tinubu 5.6m votes. He's now the devil because he has taken his business elsewhere? I hope Tinubu has a contingency plan in the South to make up for the Northern votes he would lose? This was a man who couldn't even win his own Southern region. "Winning" only Rivers state in the Southsouth, 4 out of 6 states in Yorubaland and none at all in the Southeast. The North made Tinubu president. A 3-horse race in 2027 would be a disadvantage to Tinubu, unlike in 2023 because Obi would split Southern votes while Tinubu will struggle to replicate his Northern numbers. Tinubu is now using a combination of money and coercion to force opponents to him, and he thinks it's sustainable. Case studies, Kano state and the Emirates debacle with the FG interfering in a purely local government affair, declaration of state of emergency in Rivers until Fubara succumbs, withholding of local government funds in Osun until Adeleke capitulates, EFCC hounding Yahaya Bello and then backing off after he "pledges" . Same as Okowa, destroying all opposition parties through sponsored sabotage. The list goes on and on. Despite all of these, the majority of the Nigerian people will speak clearly through their ballots in 2027. You can't buy love neither can you copy respect. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

The only desperate person I see is the one who said "Emi lokan". The one who is currently blaming Sanwo-olu for his abysmal numbers in Lagos instead of itting that he was very unpopular in 2023 as an untested candidate and even more so now. He was thinking he was going to coast to victory after destroying all existing opposition parties through sponsored sabotage, until Elrufai decamped and revived the opposition that was becoming non-existent and subdued. Now, he has his work cut out for him. You may hate or love Elrufai but he is a very adept strategist in his own right! He may not be on the ballot but he can't be ignored. How you know Tinubu will lose the election barring rigging is that erstwhile and existing APC are his fiercest opposition. Tinubu's Northern votes were largely inspired by Elrufai who pricked the conscience of the North and made Northerners give him 5.6m votes at a time when the Northern cabals were against him and for good reasons (in hindsight). But he turned around to antagonize the North and betrayed the "Amana" (trust). Tinubu has gained no new Northern voter but he has lost millions who hitherto voted for him. The ones who didn't vote for him are simply telling the ones who did that "I told you so but you wouldn't listen". If he can't galvanise the entire South behind his candidacy, he's toast. 3 Likes 4 Shares |

bazoodo: Are you the one to prevent power from returning to the North? Whether you it it or not, the North made Tinubu president with 5.6m votes which is over 60% of his entire tally. He only "won" Rivers State in the Southsouth, 4 out of 6 states in the Southwest and none in the East. I know it's convenient for you Agbadorians to promise every other region that you will return power to them as a way of garnering their but they are smart enough to know that you don't have the capacity. Barring rigging (which will be fiercely resisted), there's no pathway to Tinubu's re-election. This will even be made worse if Obi contests independently as he will heavily balkanize the votes in the South leaving Tinubu with next to nothing. 1 Like |

Touché. Beyond all the false sense of magnanimity, one can easily tell that Tinubu has a very fragile ego. You can only work with him if you agree to bend the knee, wear the infinity logo cap and sing "on your mandate we shall stand". Even that is not good enough because he would throw you under the bus to preserve his own interests. Shettima and Gbajabiamila would be the next victims. This is why he cannot work with strong and highly opinionated individuals like Elrufai. He feels threatened by their strong presence. It's not a coincidence that he changed deputies three times in 8 years as governor of Lagos, clashed with Fashola, clashed with Ambode and now attempting to clash with Sanwo-olu. The low self esteem is palpable. The Yoruba race are labelling all their contemporary technocrats like Fashola, Osinbajo, etc. "betrayers" in favour of an Octogenarian who is fast reaching the end of his shelf-life politically. Pathetic! Kwankwaso contested against Buhari and even decamped multiple times but he still remains regarded as a leader in the North even by Buhari himself. 3 Likes |

The man is only making his personal real estate, Eko Atlantic City more viable using our commonwealth. So dark the con of man! Just look at the level of sycophancy and low self-esteem! Depriest2020: Wrong! Tinubu is a very vindictive man. Same man snubbed his new fall-guy, Sanwo-olu, just today. He only bought Reno the pen-for-hire to neutralize him and make him desist from doing damage to his battered reputation. Same as Bwala. Tinubu should be very worried if all his new found friends around him were either financially induced or forcefully coerced like Fubara. omniwater: So were Tinubu's 3 deputy governors in 8 years. Ambode, Fashola, Osinbajo, Aregbesola, etcetera were all sellouts. When are you Yorubas going to finally open your eyes to see the damage this man is doing to your heritage? 4 Likes |

All he knows is politics, not governance. And his style of politics is the shady kind with lots of dirty, underhanded tactics, nothing inspirational. The Tinubu that was sold to Nigerians is not who he has turned out to be. If the APC government plans to rig the 2027 election, they should jettison it and earnestly begin to work for the people. With the kind of anger brewing against him across the length and breadth of the nation, rigging would be resisted. His latest strategy is to scuttle all political parties so he can run unopposed but the people will find an alternative. 65 Likes 4 Shares |

Mynd44: We all know who's clandestinely backing Wike to destroy the PDP. We all know who's tacitly killing opposition in Nigeria's democracy by using state resources to destroy virtually all opposition parties all borne out of fear of rejection at the polls. In two electoral cycles in Rivers state, APC didn't field a candidate in the gubernatorial elections. We know who connived with Magnus Abe and Wike to make that happen just to deny Amaechi a base. They then turn around to accuse Amaechi of betraying them. The same strategy is being applied to PDP at the national level. The PDP as a party is dead and its strategic politicians have moved on. How could a so-called Democrat be scared of a fair democratic process? Because they have no credentials to run upon. 2 Likes |

Tinubu and his Agbadorians have persecution complex. Everyone is always betraying Tinubu but he betrays no-one. His 3 deputy governors in 8 years as Lagos State governor "betrayed" him. Ambode betrayed him. Sanwo-olu is the latest "betrayer" because Tinubu couldn't win Lagos due to his unpopularity. They now claim he funded Atiku. Aregbesola "betrayed" him by imposing his cousin, Oyetola on Osun as a successor. Osinbajo betrayed him for daring to aspire and to rescue Nigeria from what we are now beginning to see. His famous speech, "Vote who you know, don't vote for who you don't know" now makes a lot of sense. Elrufai "betrayed" him by sticking with him and incurring a lot of enemies on his behalf just to sell his candidacy in the North. They say because Amaechi was his preferred candidate before the primaries, that means his to Tinubu was fake. They accuse him of not delivering his state but neither could Tinubu himself, Ganduje, Akpabio, Umahi, Oshiomhole and so many others. He now prefers people like Reno, Bwala, Shehu Sani and other foes who never betrayed him to come and dine where others toiled. The list of betrayals go on and on. Nigerians are not fooled. They know who the master-betrayer is. 2 Likes |

madridguy: Tinubu is a treacherous snake. He betrayed Elrufai, and that will turn out to be his albatross. Just wait and see. No Northern politician can sell Tinubu in the North the way Elrufai did in 2023. |

When did Yorubas stop seeing Elrufai as a messiah? Was it before or after Tinubu betrayed him? The Yorubas have benefitted from Elrufai and then, he was a hero. Allow the Igbos to also benefit. The greatest mistake you will ever make is thinking you have the capacity to choose a leader for the North. Elrufai is a well respected and revered figure in the North and beyond. Your new opinion about him inspired by your treachery is solely your own opinion. P.S: A major reason why majority of Northern electorates (forget the politicians chasing personal benefits) have parted ways with Tinubu is his treatment of Elrufai after he worked so hard to deliver his candidacy. Most of his 5.6m Northern votes were inspired by Elrufai, Tinubu was never popular, even in his Southwest. |

BelieveAfrica: That was all propaganda. They came into power with so much braggadacio and arrogance and now they have been demystified. Buhari is a far better than these Lagos areaboys can ever dream to be. Here are the conversions for the figures to Nigerian Naira using current mid-market rates: 1. $21.5 billion USD = approximately 34.4043 trillion NGN (1 USD = 1,600.20000 NGN) 2. €2.1 billion EUR = approximately 3.7776 trillion NGN (1 EUR = 1,798.867 NGN) 3. 15 billion JPY = approximately 165.1538 billion NGN (1 JPY = 11.010254 NGN) 4. €65 million EUR (grant) = approximately 116.9264 billion NGN (1 EUR = 1,798.867 NGN) 2 Likes |

SmartPolician: This is only the case with Worldbank and IMF loans. The Chinese loans don't come with such clauses and are infrastructure-based loans which are virtually impossible to embezzle. The Chinese loans under Buhari gave us railways, ports, roads and bridges that all Nigerians use till this day with lower interest rates, longer moratorium and no conditionalities. What has Nigeria been using the billions of dollars in worldbank loans under Tinubu for? No tangible project to pinpoint but comes with a lot of conditions like increase in tax rates, removal of subsidies, etc. Why did Tinubu jettison Chinese loans in favour of Bretton-Woods-backed loans? 1 Like |

How can SURWASH be an intervention of Uba Sani when its a program that began under Elrufai in May 2021 and is set to terminate by June 2027? The program is ed by a $700 million loan from the World Bank, with a mix of Program for Results (PforR) and Investment Project Financing (IPF) components and is being implemented in 6 states including Kaduna. These loans are part of the loans secured by the Elrufai government which Uba Sani is still taking drawdown from while vilifying his predecessor. |

Sponsored propaganda. Under Tuggar, Nigeria has had one of its worst run in of diplomacy. From the scuttled invasion of Niger to the ECOWAS exodus and general reputation of the government. The country is also without ambassadors two years into this istration. They are waiting to make the ambassadorial appointments close to the elections to gain political patronage.

It would have been a smarter approach if the President was distributing the appointments across the entire South. He isn't. He's just concentrating on the Lagos bloc of the Southwest. For a President who won with historically the least margin of victory ever and who failed to win the South and got delivered by 5.6m majority votes from the North, that's a rookie mistake. Now, he appears to have lost the Northern electorates as well as the Southeastern and Southsouthern electorates. All he has in his corner are current politicians across the board whom he has attracted to his side via a mixture of coercion and inducements. 1 Like |

AdesegunSanni89: Are you sure? Atiku won Osun State in 2023. Tinubu only became President via Northern votes. He was soundly rejected by the South including his home-state, Lagos. For his sake, I do hope his Northern votes are intact. It doesn't look so. |

simpleseyi: There you go again talking about Politicians, not the electorates. "Federal Resources?" You mean rigging? Glad to know that you all know and it that any pathway to Tinubu's re-election cannot be possible without rigging. But brazen rigging as was done in Rivers state cannot be possible in the North. Northerners are not cowards. By the end of 2026, the direction the pendulum will swing will be so clear that anyone attempting to rig elections in the North will be merely g his death warrant. If Tinubu is so confident of Shettima's ability to deliver, why is he desperately trying to entice Kwankwaso to APC by promising him heaven and earth. Would Northeasterners leave their own son aspiring for President in Atiku just to vote for a VP position that is merely ceremonial and has not brought any tangible progress to their region? After Tinubu's treacherous treatment of Elrufai, Northern politicians are now aware of the value of "Tinubu's promise" and his "ability" to keep his words. They are all dining with a very long spoon. Kwankwaso will do the same, and even if he decamps, he cannot deliver the Northwest to Tinubu. Northerners know that the interference and desecration of the seat of the Emir of Kano being done by the federal government is all in a bid to intimidate Kwankwaso to decamp to APC. Just as was done to Fubara in Rivers. In 2023, more than half of Northern Nigeria ignored their own son just to vote in an ungrateful and arrogant Southwesterner. It will not happen again. Better focus on the South. |

helinues: Lol. I'll keep telling you Southwesterners that, unlike in 2023, there are no 5.6m votes in the North waiting for Tinubu for him to come and collect. Every single vote lost by Tinubu in the North will potentially be added to Atiku's 2023 tally. Forget the politicians decamping. They can hardly influence the electorates again, not with Tinubu's performance thus far. Even with the VP in 2023, Atiku won all the states in the Northeast except Borno, which was marginally won by APC. Atiku will have a clean sweep of Northeast and Northwest in 2027. Take it to the bank! I sincerely hope Tinubu will get enough margins in the South to make up for the potential loss of Northern votes. The Southeast will not vote Tinubu even if heaven falls. The greatest mistake of Tinubu is pandering to politicians and the elites while neglecting the electorates. 3 Likes 1 Share |

There never was a time when Northerners rated Reno Omokri. Not in the past, not now, and they won't do so in the future even if he eventually s a Northerner. Northerners are not cowards nor fairweather personalities and they sure do . The only people Reno has successfully fooled and is still fooling are the Southeasterners and now the Yorubas, whom he has named "Lukumi people." Reno is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

You started off the paid article with an achievement of Elrufai, the Qatar Sanibil Project. Uba Sani has been mediocre. There is nothing on ground to show. Kaduna is a cosmopolitan State with very educated electorates, you need more than propaganda to get their votes. After Elrufai's transformational tenure, Kaduna missed the opportunity to continue on same trajectory.

Is this also one of the master strategist's achievements? Nigeria's image and foreign relations is at an all time low under Tinubu and he scrambles at anything that will give him an iota of legitimacy. The low self esteem is palpable.
