But we didn't choose, we blindly copied. We copied American powerful presidency without having all the countless things that keep their president in check. Everybody has a gun over there. Here only Tinubu controls all the legal guns. Every small area has their own police force and security details. Here Tinubu controls the entire police force and can withdraw any security details if he wishes. Try to remove an elected official over there and term it emergency and see what will happen. There are no federal universities or schools. Each state's law is superior and the president can't pardon anybody on state crimes including himself, etc!

Sano olu did not even streach out his hand to shake Tinubu as a sign of respect.

And Tinubu never bothered.

This sign of respect happens regularly in yoruba culture.

You don't streach your hand to greet an elderly person unless the Elderly person stretches his hand first at you.

It was indeed a snub from President Tinubu. During his speech, he acknowledged there were about four Governors, but he only deemed the Supreme Court Governor worthy of mention. Host Governor (Sanwo Olu) was not recognized.

Though i am not specifically reading negative meaning to this.

But, Tinubu don't like people who question his decisions cos he always has deep reasons for making them Which could be negative or positive for some.

I think since Tinubu reinstated speaker obasa after all the insults obasa dished to the governor. Sanwoolu's body language, behind the scene statements against the president has been recorded & revealed to the president. So let's wait for what happens next. Sanwo is lucky to have gotten the 2nd term before this, even 2yrs in. But if he doesn't quickly make amends I think after 2027, his relevancy might end there like Ambode's has ended indirectly.
