Well the final is coming up shortly and my bet is on Tyson Gay to come through. I just think Powell has a tendency to crack under pressure a la the Olympic Final. I don't think it is much of a problem for Gay as he seems to have a naturally tight style. So place your bets folks NB** A word in for Fasuba of Nigeria as well. He starts in Lane 9 though. |

Well my hunch came through. As Powell wasn't able to get away at the start, I knew Gay had too much speed endurance and would go past Powell. So where now for Powell? Couldn't even get a silver medal. kudos to Fasuba. A respectable fourth place finish from a difficult lane. |

Powell is a show off, so much shakara and when it mattered most he flopped. Kudos to Tyson Gay, bravo!

Good call Doyin, u see vision? Well Powell is all about the shakara, when put under pressure like he does to others he obviously couldn't handle it, look how he gave up ![]() At least he still has the world record to console himself |

He is just like Tim Montgomery and would never become a real great till he wins an Olympic gold or a World championship

He'll still come good, he'll last, seems he doesn't even want to win in that race, Tyson is making mouth da typical Yankee way, Asafa came out of the block very well just couldn't be bothered for some reason after 60ms if you watch the heats properly he did the same, after 60-70ms he cools down |
