The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has vowed to solve the traffic gridlock in Apapa in the first 100 days of his istration if elected governor of the state in March.

He spoke on Sunday during a governorship debate organised by ‘The Platform’ and broadcast live on Channels TV.

Sanwo-Olu and other contestants were asked what they would do in the first 100 days in office if elected governor of Lagos State.

He said he had identified 62 traffic gridlocks across the state which could be resolved within 60 days

“Within the first 100 days, I will tackle the gridlock at Apapa. I will need to clear up all the traffic and all the trailers at Apapa. I’ll make sure it’s a nightmare we will not see again,” he said.

He added that in the first 100 days, he would engage the private sector to drive the Lagos economy to prosperity.

Sanwo-Olu stated that he would convene a town hall meeting to tell the public service that there were new ways of doing things.

Also, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Jimi Agbaje said he would address traffic gridlock in the metropolis by tackling potholes, as well as address the issues of waste management.

Its a trend with all politicians. They all say great things to get the masses vote for them, as soon they get into office, they switch to show their real colors.

This should be one of the roles of the church in our political space. Providing a non bias platform for candidates to communicate their intentions so we can have a better clarity on who to elect. Imagine there was no platform like that, how would we have discovered Gbadamosi. This is the most unbiased debate I've seen in Nigeria with the choice of , a Non Nigeria Nigerian lol... a perfect one. Others should learn from Covenant Christian Centre. For reasons best known to the Op, this thread is focused on the submission of the APC candidate. Agbaje, the PDP candidate said he'll tackle Traffic, Power and Waste management, commendable right?

Wait till you watch the delivery of the night's dark horse, the ADP candidate.

Election promises not achieved should be a jailable offence henceforth. I will do this I will do that in 100days. When elected and those promises are not met, they should be jailed. That's the way forward now.
