The naira pared some its previous day’s loss on the interbank forex market as it appreciated to N314.75 to the dollar on Thursday, stronger than the N317 to the dollar it closed on Wednesday.http://investorsking.com/naira-surges-as-cbn-intervenes-in-interbank-market/ |

The CBN is surely endeavoring to improve the Naira, but should try harder. The CBN should take a bold Denomination Move to bring down Inter Banks Rates to N100/$1 so that its application of the 1.5 and 2 percent margin would trade Dollar at not more than N135/$1 to the End s. The CBN can do this and has the power to do it to impress PMB and Nigerians. And thanks for ensuring that, henceforth, all forex imports from Oil, goods and services enter Nigeria only through the Deposit Money Banks(DMBs). That's the spirit.

The CBN seem to be using trial and error method at the moment. They don't really seem to have a solution to the situation of our naira. 50 Likes 1 Share |

orisa37:there is no magic the cbn can perform if the political leadership of the nation is clueless and empty headed. To be honest the cbn has been trying with all sorts of experiment but what has the nation political leaders been doing? Nothing , and they even keep scaring investors away by their negative comments and dumb policies. 77 Likes 9 Shares |

until this country have a clear economic policy direction, all they(the trials and errors) do is clear rubbish because the trial and errors on its own scare investors who would have brought FDI into the country. Tell me how a foreign investor would want to invest in a country where repatriating of his funds later would be a nightmare ? Buhari's camatose economic policy is hurting this economy. How many job losses have we recorded this year alone ? and more still in the pipeline? 4 Likes 1 Share |

The FX is being pulled from our foreign reserves. I presume they do not believe they've performed wonders. We should compare foreign reserves levels Aug ending with previous month and see where we stand. 4 Likes |
