In latest trecherous updates from the heart of the Boko Haram war on Nigeria, we have been informed that the Sarkin Baka Adamawa has been arrested and is being interrogated by the Nigerian security services for leading Ibn Fadlallah vigilante civilian forces to recapture territories seized by Boko Haram terrorists. We reported yesterday that Boko Haram burned down the house of the Sarkin Baka, head hunter in retaliation for the hunters dislodging them. It is beyond belief that the Nigerian security services is furthering the terrorists agenda by further detaining a civilian patriot at the head of defeating Boko Haram in Mubi leading to the capture of the Boko Haram “Emir” installed over the town they had renamed “Madinatul Islam.” The Jonathan-led government has been aggressively operating a serious clampdown on brave Nigerian civilian patriots who have been engaging Boko Haram terrorists, killing them and recovering territory from them, including Mubi in Adamawa and Maiha. The Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba made an urgent public announcement Thursday to witch-hunt in the name of “screen” all vigilantes across Nigeria. Public commentator, Dr. Peregrino Brimah promptly identified that this was a mission to hinder the celebrated progress of the Ibn Fadlallah warriors, including vigilantes, hunters, ex service men, CJTF and brave Nigerian soldiers who had made remarkable gains against the terrorists frustrating their moves and sending them fleeing. The government proved this true by ordering the vigilante forces to assemble in Yola for so-called screening thereby allowing the terrorists regain grounds and progress to capture Gombi, Hong and advance to Song en-route Yola, the State capital. It is being said that the destabilization of the northeast is aimed at preventing elections there in 2015. As much as I love and my presido I find some things just deplorable and beyond excuse. The man needs to sit up n some of these annoying things that are going on under his nose. When ppl start saying he knows about boko haram I brush it aside but he need to stop fueling suspicion. Yesterday an armoured personal carrier escorted Modu Sheriff into Borno. Before now bokoharam was knows to carry out hit-and-run attacks. Now they are boldly taking over cities and sitting tight in these cities while our leaders worry only about re-election. In my opinion, no matter how ill equipped or ill motivated the Nigerian army is, I don't believe bokoharam populated by rickety looking hungry men is a stronger force. There has to be a better explanation for BH taking over cities but I certainly do not believe the militants are more formidable than our military. Now it's all beginning to make sense that the latest daring and unhindered advancements of BH is just a political ploy to make sure elections dont hold in those areas where the leadership of the country thinks they are not popular. However in the earlier reports about the recapture of Mubi, this Sarkin Mawa adamawa was not mentioned, so who the is he? If he was arrested, where is he being held? which security outfit has him? For the sake of argument, i am of the view that The Police IG is 100% right to order for a screening, Dr Peregrino of all people should know this. If we allow the hunters go into theses territories by themselves, what then happens when we have another "army" with guns allowed to roam the territory? Who is to tell what they may turn to tomorrow. Today they are hunters getting back their homeland, what stops them from wanting to rule the territory they 'recaptured'. What stops them from dividing the lands among themselves and driving out the original landowners? what stops them from making demands from the Govt. and in turn becoming another militia force that will wreck more havoc in the North east? , You don't allow untrained civilians with arms to gather in such large numbers without proper screening and supervision. Let the hunters reclaim their lands, i am not against that but let them do it the right way. And the right way is this, we want to be sure THEY ARE WHO THEY CLAIM THEY ARE, we want to know where they live, what their backgrounds are, who they are sympathetic to and we also want them to be protected by trained army personnel. Afterall at this point, who will be able to differentiate between a hunter and a BH member, becos for a fact they are mixed up in their midst. Taking time to do the right thing does not mean time is being wasted, let the hunters go through the screening( im sure they will receive some level of training too) then they will be better equipped to reclaim their lands. 1 Like |
