I just want to get this straight by hearing your opinion. A situation when you are chatting or with a friend and you ask, how was your day? He or she replies BLESS GOD. It always make me start thinking if we are to Bless God or God is to bless us. For me i think it's wrong to say bless God.

There's nothing wrong with the phrase BLESS GOD. You need to understand the meaning or use of the word bless in this case.It doesn't mean to 'give' God blessings.It means to exhalt Him,to adore Him,to praise Him. 'Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision.Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.Daniel answered and said,Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever:for wisdom and might are his: (Daniel 2:19-20). Take note of the words in vs 23 I thank thee and praise thee,O thou God of my fathers.. |

The issue here is that bless be the name of God is not wrong if you check all the Bible quotes where we get is wrong is using I bless the name of God, the word ( I ) is the issue here the correct use of the word is bless be the name of God or bless be the name of our God
