Both are excellent firms so it depends on what you want. If my data is still correct, i think KPMG pays more. However, PwC is a branch of the global firm while KPMG is only a franchise. If you're in consulting, i think kpmg has a more vibrant consulting arm but if you're in audit or tax, you might want to opt for PwC.

I would suggest you pick PwC for more global opportunities. As someone mentioned PwC in nigeria is part of the global firm with very strong ties to the uk office and other offices worldwide. Therefore, you are associated with a stronger team and brand. Anyways, both are good choices but i would say pwc, good luck.

Hey, I think it is imperative to correct the notion that both PwC and KPMG are set up differently. Both firms are set exactly the same way as "independent member firms" coordinated by a non-governing entity. The non-governing entities play more of a coordinating role. For KPMG, its is KPMG international For PwC, it is PwC International Limited (PwCIL) I know this because I got an offer from KPMG and am still trying to assess its long-term worth in comparison to other companies. Views on this would be much appreciated. Thanks |

I feel you should go with PWC. PWc would pay you better in the long run not that KPMG is bad o but PWC is a better offer and would give you a better edge later. Take care and all the best |

I believe your decision should be based on the career plan you are pursuing. You would need to weigh the two offers in line with what you want to do in life. By the way, which units will ue be working in these 2 firms? Man, your choice should not be based on the current offer. Look at which offer will give you the kind of leverage you want. All the best man

At the two companies you can actually choose the unit you want to be Anyways this thread is of no consequence cuz the person involved must have chosen where he/ she wants to be cuz this thread is over a year old |

wow, Hi every one. Really funny that u guys r still debating the firm i should choose; PwC or Kpmg. I ended up choosing PwC and left the firm about 3 months ago for Transocean. Though i stayed there 4 a short while, i must confess that the little experience garnered was awesome. 2 Likes |
