when Nigerian was still good, scratch that, better than now. I got a Bible for 6k, one version, now I have at least 10versions, dictionaries, Septuagint for free on my phone.

Technology has made it so easy for us. Sometimes even if I'm with my bible in the church, instead of opening the bible I still bring out my phone and read through it.

Still carry a Bible to church , though today, I carried my phone as I am coming in from work.

As for carrying bible and being a Christian, keep in mind that the bible does not say you must carry a Bible to church to show you are a good Christian. The early christians did not have portable bibles in their day. Scripture was written on papyrus which was very expensive.

It wasn't until the invention of modern printing in Europe in the 15th Century by Gutenberg and the arrival of mass education in Europe around the same time, as well as the Protestant reformation, that the concept of a personal bible became possible. Otherwise, the early.christians would have had an elder read scripture to them. Nothing like carrying bible to worship back then
