Hello Guys,

I drive an Honda Civic 2008

I noticed that once in a while when i put the gear in drive or reverse, I notice a vibration for about 3 seconds but its stops immediately and the gear selects well.

What could be wrong?

Hi guys.
I drive a honda accord discussion continue 2007
I recently observed that when driving with the AC on, the temperature guage rises above the half benchmark, but once I put off the AC, the guage comes down almost immediately.

Also this doesn't happen when I am driving at a free road, everything is fine if there is no traffic and AC is on.
But once I am in a stop and move traffic and AC is on, temps starts shooting until I switch off the AC before it goes down.
Please what could I be looking out for?
Thanks
Start with the easy DIY checks before pulling the big guns.
1. Visually inspect the fins of the radiator and confirm it's not blocked or meshed up.
2. Do the same check on the condenser.
3. Confirm both fans come up with AC on and they blow fine.
4. Confirm there's no leak in the cooling system.

Update, had to get the OBD diagnostic tool and the fault code displayed one of this

P2185 [0x2185]
Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 2 - circuit high
Status: Confirmed

Could this be the likely cause of the increase in temperature while the AC is on?

If so how do I resolve this pls
You are lucky your engine is not overheating even without AC. Any problem with your ECT2 means your fan is not coming on, unless some kazeems have found a way to "nigerianize" your cooling system. Id suggest returning everything to factory and making sure your cooling system works as designed with no error codes.

Do a small test, when stationary with AC on, and the temperature rises, bring the rpm to 2000 and watch the temperature gauge. If it comes down, the culprit is the water pump.
Another thing I will suggest is to by the AC heater hose. Sometimes if it is blocked it creates a vacuum in the cooling system.

Hello everyone,

I drive a 2009 Honda Civic and I’ve only used it about four times over the past month and a half due to frequent travel. Lately, I’ve been experiencing a starting issue — the car won’t start unless I jump-start it using my neighbor’s battery. Even after driving it for several hours, once I park it overnight, it still won’t start the next morning.

I’m unsure if the battery is completely dead and needs to be replaced, or if there might be another underlying issue. If it’s likely a battery problem, I’d appreciate any recommendations on a good replacement battery to buy, including price if possible.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't think anyone in this group will be interested in giving you price of items, that's what the market is for. At this point, I won't suggest buying an expensive battery till you are sure what is going on with your car. Just check your current draw when car is asleep. YouTube will help you.

Are you sure something is not draining your batteries. Maybe some lights e.t.c

You might need a good rewire to check for you..

It sounds like trying to stop something rolling with a metal, like trying to stop the blades of a fan with a stick. Ka ka ka ká ka ká till the car stops.

Good day everyone... My mechanic told me a month ago that my shocks are leaking and I also need to change my shafts completely, since I know next to nothing about cars (new car owner), I gave him the go ahead and he changed both.
The problem is ever since he did the repair, I've been hearing this crackling sound coming from the front wheel everytime I apply brake. The embarrassing sound is loud enough that people will often look at my car everytime I step on the brakes.
I've taken the car back to the mechanic up to 7 times with no solution to the problem, he's changed the calipers, hob, brake disc etc all to no avail and I'm fed up.
What could be the problem and can you please refer me to a competent mechanic?
Car is Honda Accord DC.

I am also experiencing the braking issues.
Have you been able to resolve it?

Yes kinda.
It was the hub, the ball bearing. It ball bearing was changed and the wheel realign or something.
Though not totally fixed, it still hear the noise when descending on a slope in traffic (you know those go slow moments with your door on the brake)
trojan84(m): 5:41am On May 11

Have you ruled out a slow transmission fluid leak?

Commonly from poorly torqued drain plug or solenoid bolts.

Lastly, transmission may be on its way out.

I have a transmission leak on my Honda civic 2007, the mechanic said they don't fix it, that I should be topping oil until I buy a new one. Can it be fixed?

it can be fixed. I believe it's a bad seal. It has happened to my eod and the seal was replaced

Just throw in a new battery and crank it up. It's a Honda, nothing will happen. But change the oil before driving.

I have this rattling noise , they said its actuator problem, how do I fix it

Good morning guys.

Please I need help with a good mechanic who can overhaul steering rack for Honda accord 2007 (DC)
Location is Lagos.
Reason for overhaul is due to oil leakage from the steering rack seals.

Pls any good recommendations will be appreciated as most mechanics I have met always ask me to replace the complete steering gear system.

The steering is okay and works perfect, just the oil leakage that is the problem

Leave it like that. It’s engineering problem. If the sound comes up for 1-3 seconds on cold start and disappears afterwards, it’s nothing. If you change the actuator; the sound may come back.

Go to Oyingbo, there are loads of guys who specialize in dismantling and fixing of steering rack. None will leave their shop and come to your location for such jobs.
