The newly promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Olatunji Disu, was officially decorated with his new rank by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

AIG Disu, widely respected for his tactical expertise and contributions to crime-fighting, was accompanied by family , including his mother and wife, during the ceremony. In an emotional moment, he saluted his mother as a gesture of appreciation for her throughout his career.

Before his promotion, Disu held several key positions in the Nigeria Police Force, including Commander of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Head of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), and Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the IGP.

During the decoration ceremony, IGP Egbetokun charged all newly promoted officers to uphold professionalism, integrity, and dedication in serving the nation.
