For state events the president usually goes to the National Mosque (for Muslims) or the National Christian Centre (for Christians). of the public usually pray at both venues, both when the president is there and when he is not there (they are regular worship centres).

However, people are usually searched when the president is going to attend and you can see ropes (and bodyguards) in the pictures to separate the areas for regular people and the areas for VIPs.
