Is there a metric for evaluation?

Stanbic did ₦2:00... grin

Well historically UBA/access dividend does not match or come close to zenith/gtco. Stanbic have also always paid higher dividend than zenith/gtco. Even though Stanbic is the last in FUGAS Na their Oga grin

Oga Nosa, e don tey small wey talk about the banking sector being grossly undervalued and you are correct 💯💯. I hope they heed your words then.

Like play like play, Fidelity don dey behave like thing wey drink c9mbination of energy boosting drinks. As GT Bank no shake body after that result, many don dey siddon look status.

Whichever way they see it especiallycomparing the PE levels, that sector is grossly undervalued immensely.

As for the bolded, don't you think recapitalization is the thing putting a damper on banks' price movements? And unless we get to a point when CBN announces an end to it or a particular bank is seen to have concluded its recapitalization the uncertainty will persist?

Stingy bank

I never trusted ACCESS Bank business model. The endless purchases of often distressed foreign banks and having a foreign tax heaven ed company as a major investor point to a design to take money out in my opinion. All these will minimize the return of profits to minority investors as we have been seeing.

Thanks for this observation.
UBA however seems to be coming up, more than ACCESS in of Dividend declarations......
Let's see what UBA will offer...

My Dearest friends on nairaland, I expect the SEC suspension to be lifted on Monday. Once the price touches 1.4, I will start buying if it goes down further I will continue to average down on it. I am very optimistic about npf mfb infact many will struggle to enter @ 5. Just give them like 1 year.
See my signature
Thanks Uchetoba.
You're always good at spotting some of these things..

I don't think those condemning this bank consider the fact that 2023 FYE was placed in comparison with H1 2024....
Also, did they consider the business model as well as the shareholding structure and those that constitute the majority customers?
NPF is the only listed Microfinance bank and the financials didn't look bad looking at other factors...
Once the bank changed to DMB, the operations and financials will take a much brighter dimension.
*Shareholders structure attached...

Why? Gtco was over 40 and they announced 1naira. If UBA do 70kobo they don try

I guess you are right. GTCO/Zenith Bank are not in the same league with UBA. I just have great expectation from them. I believe UBA is in the same class with Access, hence we maybe expecting 0.50k or thereabout. But, Fidelity Bank is inching closer to Access. Fidelity had long left FCMB on their own. cheesy

UBA caught up with Zenith/GTCO in last year interim dividend payment. The three paid 50 kobo interim dividend last year. Let's see if UBA can resist being left behind by Zenith/GTCO in interim dividend payment this year.

Please do and get back to us because nobody invests billions of they don't see greatness in JEGEDE UNITED

I topped up to increase my holdings at sub #2.50. I rarely take such decisions... I didn't even do that in Oando

JEGEDE UNITED has new management that seems to mean business this time around...

when it comes to long term investments I always like to see things for myself before investing, when he succeeds the company will be the biggest mining company from Nigeria.

I am not too sure of chams but japaulgold looks promising because those infrastructures is important to Nigeria and Nigerians.

I love this statement. People should always learn to do their own RESEARCH about firms especially JAPAULGOLD because of their past

If you confirm things and post here I might have to just leave JAPAULGOLD as a long term investment although I have had a good volume of japaul at 0.20 still have them intact

Adding more was a personal decision as I see a major turnaround in JEGEDE UNITED

yes it is very important to research about companies,I like seeing things for myself before making decisions.i like companies investing in massive infrastructures because those infrastructures and the business can last for decades.it can also be seen as national assets even though it is private business, shares from such companies will be like cocaine in the future.

i need shares I can retire with and transfer to the next generation just like what my late dad did in the family.

This is exactly the goal

Personally I wish JAPAUL can have an entirely new management just that Africa don't do things like the white

If he doesn't interfere, the management will take the company to greater heights. My major worry is government policies,na my concern with Nigeria government.

I actually have long list of shares of companies both in NGX and elsewhere that I patiently built into money spreeing investments over the years from 2020... Many of them were bought at ridiculously low prices from my crypto/forex windfalls

I personally don't gamble with quality blue chips but I enter them when so low and properly badly affected by some uncertainties but with values that sometimes ain't seen in their troubles... That's how I make a major kill

I love THE GLOBAL MARKETS because you can build yourself wealth streams that you can't
completely exhaust in your lifetime no matter how extravagant you become because the proceeds will foot the extravagant lifestyle

The point is people should strike the difference between gambles and quality

Government's policies at the moment seems to be favoring indigenous BIG FIRMS as some foreign ones are exiting already so they seems to be encouraging the indigenous ones still trying to survive or thrive

Once a stock is listed .It can be traded.why I accepted that of japaul not being traded is the price at which it was bought and the current market price. Thr is no much incentive to sell now.If it is preferred shares. It will be stated and does not mean it can not be sold via arrangement and be seen as crossed deal too.My Street sense believe is not the 8B being sold.I thought the 8B was bought at about #2.00 or below .The bank and breweries new listed shares can be traded immediately once you have it in your cscs .
OK.. Good to know the banks n breweries PP shares can be traded. Thank for enlightenment.

Well, u may be right. it wasn't directly stated as preferred shares, I only assumed so.

yes but successive governments Dont like to continue from it's predecessors, they are fond of bringing up unnecessary tax policies. The hurdle for companies is surviving in every government whether na PDP lead government or Apc government or a new party lead government. I know what I went through when buhari look over, they came in with a different style and it took some biz men/women some years to adapt.

Like oando is a short term stock because the incoming government in 2031 will definitely pounce on them because of the family name and one thing about Nigeria government officials/politicians,they don't care about the company, they can just do whatever they like and move on.
