Any news on the nnpc recruitment shortlisting ?

Does anyone here has any information regarding NOA recruitment? I learnt APLs were shared last month, is there possibility for another one?

FG exempts university research grants from TSA

The Federal Government has directed the exemption of third-party research grant funds of federal universities and research institutions from the Treasury Single (TSA).
The directive also grants universities and research institutions the autonomy to operate their endowment fund s in commercial banks.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) conveyed the directive in a letter addressed to Vice Chancellors of universities, dated September 6, 2024, signed by the acting Executive Secretary, Chris Maiyaki.

According to the letter, the federal government directive mandating the exemption, had also been conveyed to the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman and the Coordinating Minister of Finance and National Economy, Wale Edun.

“The National Universities Commission received the directive from the Honourable Minister of Education, Ref. DE/HE/37/VII/324 and dated 4th September 2024, forwarding the correspondence from the Principal Secretary to the President, State House, also vide PRES/87/MF/71/198/MBEP/15 and dated 23rd July 2024, on the above subject.

“The letter communicates Mr President’s directive to the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy to exclude third-party research grant funds of federal universities and research institutes from the Treasury Single (and to grant universities and research institutes autonomy in operating their endowment fund s in commercial banks. Please see attached,” the letter read.

i got employed in the ministry on technical cadre, but now i am in level 12 and i would like to do conversion to the professional cadre, would i be dropped in level?

one step down if it is conversion but if you are lucky you maintain your level depending.

And yet I'm still struggling to get a good job.

Brother, me self dey this table. With my strong 2.1 (4.06) and distinction in master, I still dey lobby for decent paying job.

What I realise is dt, mke we look outside seeking for jobs, may b start with a small biz and with a little bit of luck, it may grow or mke we fight am comot completely by Japaing..

In this country, if u can't them, u become abandoned mke God no abandon us...

I don't know what you have been through but I choose to disagree.

What skills have you gathered during those times either technical or soft skills.

Have you been practicing GMAT, SHL etc?

Who are your friends?

Do you sell yourself out?

Do you tailor your CV to meet the JD requirements?

What professional course do you have?

Ask yourself all this and you can see Nigeria is like 60% fault while we the individuals carries 40%

Yes they will drop you in one level backwards, that is why it's advised you do conversion when you just get promoted to a new level immediately not when you have spent 2 or 3years on a level, like from 12 to 10, but if you do it immediately you enter 13 you fall back to 12. Goodluck

You go back to your last GL and step, in this case GL 10 step 3, if you get strong connect self they will permit you write promotional exam the next year back to 12, just know that no matter how they tend to make the civil service look very strict on promotions and conversations/upgrades, the rules are always broken for some people who know the high and mighty. But one thing is sure they won't take you below your last step.

My brother, people get jobs without connections. The key is not to give up. It is a matter of WHEN. Always apply. Never give up, one day it will be your time. Since you have masters, why not think of lecturing? Go to schools offering your course and submit application. Don't wait for ment. Most times it is underground. Just keep applying and praying. I heard from another connect that nitda will be recruiting this month end. I don't know how true this is and I do not want to disturb my main connect until I get a viable information.

Has anyone got any information? I also heard NNPC is from January. I am not sure. Its what I heard.
